Wikipedia: Prasat Mueang Tam ( 'lowland castle') is a Khmer Hindu Temple in Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province, Thailand. It is primarily in the Khleang and Baphuon styles, which dates its primary phases of construction to the late-10th and early-11th centuries. The primary deity was Shiva, although Vishnu was also worshipped there.
Like most Hindu temples, Mueang Tam is oriented towards the east. It has a flat concentric plan, with a central sanctuary and two surrounded successively by an inner enclosure, ponds, and an outer enclosure. The ponds between the enclosures are an unusual feature of the temple, as is the central sanctuary, which is not elevated and has its towers arranged in rows of three and two. All the towers except the central one have been restored.
Kala are particularly prominent in the lintels of the temple. They are the best available aid in dating the structure, but the mix of styles (Khleang and Baphuon) makes accurate dating impossible. Several of the lintels on the outer gopuras are unfinished.
A small probably contemporaneous with the temple, lay to the east, while a later, larger baray survives further north between Mueang Tam and Phanom Rung.

I met Tam on a very cold and crisp morning on Cockenzie village's coastal path (Scotland) just after sunrise. He saw me with my camera, came to me with a big smile and we started a really interesting and open conversation about our appreciation for the beauty of nature, music and about life itself.
I've found out a bit about his early life as well; he was growing up as the second youngest child out of 13 siblings, and when he was a child and saw his older brothers drinking, Tam had decided that no matter what, he will be different from them.
So he started working hard and earn money from an early age and has had many jobs throughout his life, from working on farms to upkeeping and guarding empty hotels, from driving trucks across Scotland to painting and decorating houses. He is nearly seventy now, but he is not planning to stop working anytime soon.
He said, from all the money he saved up staying away from drinking, he went backpacking all around Europe and saw all his favourite bands performing live in the 70's and 80's which memories he will never forget.
He is also a proud father of his 13 years old son, who has just bought himself his own boat and an engine from his work to go out to the sea and do fishing as a passion.
Tam struck me as a man who radiates strength, kindness, and who walks his own path with open eyes.

Esta zona es conocida como la Bahía de Jalón Terrestre, es un lugar privilegiado dentro de la provincia de Ninh Binh. En esta zona se encuentra la Pagoda de Bich Dong, lugar de visita obligada.
Esta visita a Tam Coc, se complemente con un paseo, que dura unas dos horas, en bote en el curso del río Ngo Dong, que discurre entre arrozales y altas montañas de colores verdes intensos. Además, se cruzan varias cuevas como la Hang Cam, Hang Giaua o la Hang Chateau que hacen de este paseo una gran experiencia. Como curiosidad, veréis que normalmente son mujeres quienes dirigen estos botes y que, en muchos casos, reman con los pies, un método tradicional que les permitía controlar el bote disponiendo de libertad en las manos.

I had been want this composition since I started to photograph low fog in Mt. Tam, but had been kicked out by the ranger due to late in Sunset hours. Glad I can stay late for this time and cross out this from my bucket list.

A view down the western slope of Mount Tam on a foggy spring day. The grass had been thinking of dying off after two months of little moisture, but has been reprieved by some recent rain. The foreground lupines are pulling out all stops to blossom brightly. Through a break in the clouds we can see the Bolinas lagoon at low tide.
