I love photography because you can not guess whom you will encounter even when going out for shopping. I bumped into this old tailor very next to my home. I realized him thanks to my passion for photography.
His workshop opened with a window directly onto the street. I was pleased that he returned to his work after conveying with a nod and a small smile that I was free to take a photograph. Such a relief when subjects refrain from cheesy poses :)

Fabric and colours were chosen by me, dark violet on black, velvety corduroy fabric, loved it :)

Same as the heroes, these are a bunch of figures I made a while back for Talon, but didn't use most of them.

Tailor shop on Division St. housed in a building circa 1890. I don't think the shop has seen a new coat of paint or the entryway tiles repaired since built. Why waste the money?
Sorry for the poor quality photo, but photographing anything in the Hasidic community causes a great deal of anxiety due to threats of terrorism against this religious group. In my Queens neighborhood 100 hours of anti-terrorism training is being offered at all six synagogues for $1000.00. This includes shooting lessons.......
