I loved the flow of this tree as it appeared to swoon next to its partner, part of a dance or a overcome by a lovers embrace. Taken at Brush Hill, Princes Risborough.
This is different to the photo of the tulip I uploaded yesterday although it appears to be the same variety.
This - very surprisingly - is a tulip. What an abundance of petals! And so gorgeously pink! It's quite the stunner. I found it a couple of hours ago while walking towards the supermarket on a patch of ground full of different types of tulips. This one was softly screaming to me to take a photograph so, to be polite, I obliged. :-)

A week ago I took this photo on a short detour homeward bound, I only planned to be out for an hour or so as I had a long 5 hour drive ahead of me. I had an idea of what I wanted from a good bit of online research the week before but after I parked and started walking instinct took over and I headed in the opposite direction. I’m so glad I did because than hour turned into the best 2 hours of my 4 day trip. These two trees and another before them were my decision makers, having spotted them a good 3/4 mile in the distant. They were situated on the wrong side of the river as the track, so a tough trudge through undulating tussocky marshy grassland ensued. I enjoy that preparation for a photography as I rarely have endearment for road side photography, the more effort I put in getting a image the more I treasure the photograph. This shows how personal photography to me as the viewer has no knowledge of that effort it took to capture a photograph. I know this image had a story to tell but I was struggling to find it until Carla looked over my should and said “It looks like he is proposing”, now I can’t think of another story if I tried. The proposal is greeted with a surprised swoon, does that fit the picture.
