Spatious modern home with ocean view and swimming pool. Located on a private island, surrounded by lush fall trees, perfect if you are looking for isolation and privacy.
This is part of the ornate Roman pool of the Hearst Castle in California. It's a tiled indoor pool decorated with several marble statues of gods and goddesses and heroes styled after an ancient Roman bath. It is decorated from ceiling to floor with one inch square mosaic tiles. These glass tiles, called smalti, are either colored (mainly blue or orange) or are clear with fused gold inside.
Und ein Relikt aus früheren Zeiten: Der Haartrockner im Schwimmbad, den jeder noch kennt. Man musste nur immer die passenden Münzen dabei haben.
And a relic from earlier times: The hair dryer at the swimming pool that everyone still remembers. You just always had to have the right coins with you.
The only trouble with a winter holiday is the swimming pool is not warm enough to stay in for to long...5 mins max in my case lol :))
