The fountain Fontana dei Cavalli Marini in Villa Borghese, Rome. It was built in 1791, designed by the painter Cristopher Unterberger and realized by the sculptor Vincenzo Pacetti. It depicts four hippocampi (a hippocampus is a mythological horse creature with the lower body of a fish), sitting in a basin, and holding up three more on top of each other.

瀕臨消失的海上吉卜賽人- 海巴夭族(Sea Bajau)@ 沙巴(Sabah) ,馬來西亞Malaysia 是東南亞的一個民族。生活在菲律賓、馬來西亞和印度尼西亞之間海域，多數人潛海捕魚為生，常被稱為「海上吉普賽人」，被認為是最後一支海洋游牧民族。
巴夭族是仙本那(Semporna)主要族群，就像華人一樣擁有許多籍貫，巴夭族分為海巴夭族(Bajau Laut) 和陸巴夭族(Bajau Darat)。陸巴夭族早在200年前已登陸沙巴。許多陸巴夭族人已經安定並定居下來，過著耕種稻米與養牛的生活。由於精通騎馬術，使到哥打毛律鎮裡的陸巴夭族人被冠以一個名為“東方牛仔”的美譽。巴夭族人普遍上都是回教徒，並奉行回教的傳統習俗與教義。
是沙巴的第二大原住民，素有「水上吉普賽」之稱，通常要前往水上村都是順便搭船遊覽斗亞蘭(Tuaran)附近的紅樹林，從亞庇前往大約要30分鐘車程。這一帶大約有四千多戶人家，他們知足常樂，雖然沒有富裕的居住環境，但能夠享受悠閒便是最大的幸福。
當你乘船行經這些用木材建造、狭長的水上房屋時，還有天真可愛的小朋友會向你招手，偶爾還會看到搖著扁舟的巴夭族人，他們正在灑網捕魚，一派的原始風情。遊客可以親自體驗巴夭族的捕魚方式，船夫會在船上放置幾個捕紅蟳的鐵網子，讓大家也試試水上漁家的日常生活作息。

Mom takes her 12-day old pup for a swimming lesson in a shoreline tide pool sheltered from the breaking south shore surf. This was the eleventh pup born on Oahu in 2026. The ‘ōlelo Hawai’i name for monk seals is "ilio holo i ka uaua" meaning "dog that runs in rough water." Endemic to Hawaii, this species of monk seal was established in the archipelago millions of years before the arrival of humans and before the current main volcanic islands emerged above sea level. The original seal-occupied islands have since receded to coral atolls and are now part of Papahānaumokuākea. A recently updated survey estimate by NOAA indicates a small, but encouraging, population increase to 1,570 individuals throughout the Hawaiian archipelago. However, Hawaiian monk seals remain endangered and among the rarest of marine mammals. It’s always great to welcome a healthy new pup!
