Built for Swebrick autumn challenge.

I knew I wanted to do a nature scene with autumn colors. Later on it became Zelda-themed and I added elements from one of my all time favorite games, BotW. Can you spot the koroks?

Adding to my city in GoH, this is part of a collab between a few Swebrick members depicting ports in different parts of Historica :) youtu.be/EWGbLU8zLco

My entry to Swebrick Brick Challenge for October 2021. This months piece was the Brick and Axle Separator 96874.

My entry for a LUG-contest in which the theme was "fairytales". So I decided to go with a classic :) youtu.be/NlAxGeI5m2Q

Bo and Evert had finally saved up enough money to go on their dream holiday, a canoe-trip through the South American jungle! Unfortunately, Bo - who was in charge of the map - overestimated his geography-skills...

A build I made a while back which I had to wait before posting. It was my entry to the annual AFOL vs AFOL contest over at Swebrick. The theme (chosen by last years winner Full Plate) was adventure. It's sort of a knock-out contest in which the MOCs go head to head and LUG-members vote on their favourite build.

I had been in the mood to build a large waterfall for quite some time and this contest seemed like the perfect time to give it a go.

I actually ended up winning the whole contest which was a very pleasant surprise! So thanks to everyone that voted for my entry :)

Meant for Swebrick Spring contest.

'What goes up, must come down' as the old saying goes. Unfortunately, the opposite does not seem to be true, and what goes down into the deep is likely to stay there for a long time.

Although this is quite a tongue-in-cheek build, it touches on a subject that is quite serious - us dumping our garbage into the oceans. Retrieving trash from the oceans is expensive, time-consuming and dangerous, and most of the trash on the ocean floors is unfortunately already out of our reach - either economically or technologically.

The positive news is that garbage is much easier to deal with before it is tossed into the sea. So let's do what we can to keep it where it belongs, and save ourselves the time and money that we will undoubtedly have to spend cleaning it up later.

Or better yet - recycle!

This was my entry into the Swebrick AFOL vs AFOL contest which had the topic 'Under the Surface'.

Only LEGO - and a few Duplo pieces... My entry to Swebrick contest - "Food".

A cozy lake house in the rain inspired by a render by Rodrigo Mila. House about 2100 bricks, forest and water about 8500 bricks. Computer rendering but only existing bricks/colors were used. Reference image.

I built this two years ago, digitally, for a competition in the BriXtar app. The assignment was to build a BrickHeadz styled self portrait. Ever since, I have wanted to build it in real bricks, and now I finally have. I also made it a bit bigger and added lots of details. This is by far the most fun I ever had with a build. Hope you like it!

The Arkbri River has been a major trade route through the heart of Historica since ancient times. Where the great river meets the sea, the port city of Barqa is ideally positioned to connect the inland river shipping with the sea traders, making Barqa a major hub for trade between all corners of Historica.

To ensure a safe haven for the valuable shipping, fortifications guard the harbor and over time a strong harbor citadel has been built. A lighthouse has subsequently been built on top of the fortress - guiding seafarers safely into the port with its bright whitewashed walls by day, and with its fire at night.

Built for the Guilds of Historica 10 year anniversary challenge, in the category “Old but Gold” - revisiting an older build to demonstrate the progress as a builder over the years in GoH. Here is my original lighthouse build from 2014.

This is also my first module for the Swebrick GoH maritime collab project.

The harbor master usually sits in his chair by his house. Now and then he scans the horizon with his telescope. He has spotted an incoming ship and gets ready with his ship hook.

No real bricks were harmed in the making of this build ;)

Had this idea for a while but never really got it to look the way I wanted until now (-ish).

Made as an entry for the monthly challenge on Swebrick, this months piece was the 61184: Technic, Pin 1/2 with 2L Bar Extension (Flick Missile) which actually came in handy quite well.

When the autumn wind is roaring outside and winter is getting closer it would be nice to have a place like this. A modern cottage with fireplace and large windows.

This build will hopefully be on display at LUG Swebrick´s first post-pandemic event in Hässleholm, Sweden, in November 2021.

Spent way too much time trying to figure out how the S.A.F.S are made when I could have just bought one of these old kits... ;)

Inspired by a few of Peter Reid's old builds. Made as an entry for this months SBC over on Swebrick.

Another addition to the Ruins of San Victoria (mine and Zilmrud's steampunk CB).

Controversy is brewing in Micropolis! The mayor has spent a sizeable chunk of the yearly budget on a new extravagant skyscraper and the critics have been brutal.

- 'We need apartments for the general public, not outrageously expensive office spaces that benefits no one but the very rich', complains a spokesman for the political opposition. 'The money that went into expensive bricklink pieces could have been used to buy bucketloads of mixed LEGO on ebay! We could have built block after block of ecclectic living quarters that would have benefitted even those without much to spend! Instead we now have this eyesore visible in the whole city which is a constant reminder that our mayor shows no concern for the less fortunate'.

But the mayor stands firm in the face of the criticism.

- 'We need to show that we are a modern city, and we won't do that with shabby apartments. If we are to attract new, talented builders we need to be more visionary and build the city we want to be rather than pander to the current needs of the masses. And I think we have done just that.'

The architect of the building, Santilego Calatrava, shared his take on the situation when we called him in his villa on the Spanish Riviera.

- '¿Qué? Este es un restaurante y soy un chef, no un arquitecto! Tienes el número equivocado, así que o pedir una paella o dejar de llamar aquí!'

He is probably right, but the big question is if this has hurt the mayor politically, or if his bold decision making is exactly what Micropolis needs right now.

Only time will tell.

Another addition to my city of Mophet over on GoH at Eurobricks. Inspired (sort of) by the hanging gardens of Babylon and ancient roman baths.

As day turns to night all colors fade to grey.

This is my entry for Swebrick's single color competition.

Experimenting with different types of flowers and other plants for use as foliage for the Swebrick Masterbuilder competition. The theme is nature and I want it to look wild rather than arranged by human hand, but at the same time be appealing to look at. Put together this little plate to see what goes well together. Feel free to comment on things you feel can be done better :)

Jorum stands in the bow of his ship "The Morning Mist" looking out over the vastness of the Aether. In the distance he can see the port, the goal of this days journey, and the last stop of this long delivery run. Maybe he will meet some friends tonight? Further back, his oldest son Bor is taking care of the steam system that runs the ship. Everything seems fine.

Jorum makes a living by delivering goods and mail between the islands of Aetheria. He makes a good profit and he is not afraid to show it. Riches and treasures can be rewarded the people who dare tread the ocean of the Aether... and Jorum knows this ocean, like the back of his hand.
