Day 60 of 365 days.

This has been (& always will be) my remedy...

It's my support system especially right now.

The small and hidden things 'count'; head in cloud; heads in black clouds.

As the war in Ukraine drags on, its nice to see little gestures of support around Dublin. Just a typical street utility cabinet, nicely covered with a message of support with the Ukrainian colours.

Sláva Ukrayíni!

Thoughts & solidarity sent to everyone in Ukraine at this very difficult time as your country is being invaded.

Shame on you Russia - shame, evil & murder of the innocent.

This illustration depicts the design features of the Hubble Space Telescope's Support Systems Module (SSM). The SSM is one of the three major elements of Hubble and encloses the other two elements, the Optical Telescope Assembly (OTA) and the Scientific Instruments (SI).

The purpose of Hubble, the most complex and sensitive optical telescope ever made, is to study the cosmos from a low Earth orbit. By placing the telescope in space, astronomers are able to collect data that is free of Earth's atmosphere. Hubble detects objects 25 times fainter than the dimmest objects seen from Earth and provides astronomers with an observable universe 250 times larger than is visible from ground-based telescopes, extending our view more than 13 billion light-years away. Hubble views galaxies, stars, planets, comets, planet formation in other solar systems, and even unusual phenomena such as quasars, with 10 times the clarity of ground-based telescopes.

The spacecraft is 42.5 feet (13 meters) long and weighs 25,000 pounds (11,600 kilograms). Two communication antennas, two solar array panels that collect energy for Hubble, and storage bays for electronic gear are on the outside. Hubble was deployed from the Space Shuttle Discovery (STS-31 mission) into Earth orbit in April 1990.

The Marshall Space Flight Center was responsible for the design, development, and construction of the observatory. The Perkin-Elmer Corporation in Danbury, Connecticut, developed the optical system and guidance sensors. The Lockheed Missile and Space Company of Sunnyvale, California, produced the protective outer shroud and spacecraft systems, and assembled and tested the finished telescope.

A young bride and groom are to be married. They are cloaked in traditional garments (to me their fashion looks to be from China's late Qing Dynasty, which ended well over a century ago). The bride and groom's surreal cracked glaze porcelain faces show their inner fragility as they start a family together.

These prints were displayed at Louisville's 21C Museum Hotel. I must say that the aluminum boards that they are printed on make these images and their colors pop. The metal medium also adds a modern look to a traditional but surreal image.

When I look at these images, history comes flooding to mind. I think of the Chinese couples who were married at the fall of the Qing dynasty in 1911. I've met a few in my day and listened to their horrendous stories. The next six decades of events in China would make holding on to their family and their own lives difficult — e.g. social decay, foreign occupation, Civil War, World War II, the Communist Revolution, the Great Leap Forward. Many, many families were torn asunder by outward events.

Although I find myself drifting to thoughts of these historical events, this painting is not about couples of the Qing Dynasty. It is much bigger. I think it is an inward journey. It's really about all couples. Now.

My wife and I took my daughter to a local walking path in hopes to get some pics for her official 1 year photos. It was yet ANOTHER gloomy day. I'm starting to get very annoyed at the weather here lately. Oh well I managed to get a few good shots I think.

Crews have poured the concrete to build the first above-ground support columns, seen in the photo in green, for the new I-85 North Bridge over the Yadkin River in Davidson and Rowan counties.

The concrete truck poured the concrete into a hopper on a pump truck. The concrete was then pumped through a pipe into the column.

This new album will show the support system used for plants.

She loved this collage which made me smile.

If you were a Congolese girl, the odds are stacked against you. Motherhood and long hours of hard and demanding work to take care of your family is your likely future. But you have a real chance of dying from motherhood in your lifetime.

Access to education and health could improve life. Also, prosperity is needed to break the cycle of poverty.

Congolese girls need a support system. We accomplish more when you have someone behind you. Someone who cares about you and what you are trying to do. Someone who encourages you when you make a mistake. Someone who gives you a helping hand to smooth out the rough points in your life.

Option B was given to us by one of our mentors. He knew, in some point in our lives, that we were going to be faced with some sort of Option B. More times than not, our Option A is taken away from us right from under our feet.

This book gives you practical ways to deal with losing Option A and how to move on with whatever your Option B may be. By socializing in groups that empower you and using those “panic” buttons (your friends/family) as your staples in hard times, overcoming and persevering becomes that much easier.

So do yourself a favor, get out of your room where you only substantiate your loneliness. Take people for their word when they say they are open to talk and help. And learn how to cope when your Option A is taken away and your left to deal with your Option B.

As seen in Explore. Reached a high of #246 on 10/29/08. Have you ever wanted to know what it looks like inside a mattress? The big mystery has been solved...just a bunch of metal coils! This is called a continuous coil and is the coil system found in Serta Perfect Sleepers. A continuous coil is made up of one wire.

Who makes up your support system? The cleaning service that comes once a week? Your personal assistant who answers the phone for you? Surround yourself with good people who reduce your stress and help you focus on what's most important in your life!

A bit late this year as I needed to change the soil in the greenhouse bed & it took me longer than i expected to get it done.

I have gardners delight and roma (a plum tomato) which I grew from seed. I have also put in a couple of bought plants: Alicante and Ailsa Craig for some variety.

If you've ever used a backdrop before, whether it's for Solid Color or Decorative pattern, paper or cloth background materials, you know that the versatility, adjustability, and strength of the support system hardware makes all the difference in setting up your studio to get the shot just right.

The background support system used in the photo above will allow you to precisely adjust the width of the Crossbar between the Stands so that you can attach clamps from the Stand to the Background Material. This minimizes floor space and is especially critical when using cloth backgrounds that require stretching to create a smooth surface. Having the ability to adjust the height of the support is also essential. Another handy feature of a background support system is the ability to mount more that one backdrop.

A background support system that has these kind of features can be purchased from Eos Lighting LLC

After a rough year, with one of my cousins getting into a serious accident. My family has grown closer, and we have learned to not take life for granted, and to just have fun with each other. At thanksgiving, we goofed around, took pictures and had a blast. I can always count on my family to be by my side, and recognize me for who I really am. We support each other, and are closer than ever. We are a strange crowd but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. These relationships are something that money definitely can not buy. I can have it for free, and whenever I want. Literally all I have to do is send a snapchat or send a text and they will be there. I can continue to grow closer with them despite any distance, and I can always know they have my back! I have especially tried to set aside my differences with my sisters, as a part of growing up and allowed them to be closer to me, without us fighting over petty things. We really do love each other, and now we all can show it.
