Sur la ligne du Golfe de Fos, nombreux sont les trains de citernes qui transitent entre Martigues, les Triages de Miramas, Toulouse ou encore Dijon, mais ces derniers ne sont pas du tout légion sur la ligne, les trains de bâches, plus connus localement sous le nom de "Sollac" ou "ArcelorMittal", permettent plusieurs fois par semaine, le ravitaillement des tôles pour l'Italie ou l'Espagne grâce à l'une des 2 plus grosses usine sidérurgique ArcelorMittal de France, situé notamment dans l'énorme complexe industriel de Fos sur Mer.
Ces lourds trains sont très souvent tractés en Sybic (BB26000), grâce à leurs fortes puissance ce qui permet, si on est chanceux de voir les toutes dernières BB26000 Bétons circulant dans l'hexagone, comme le montre cette photo datant de début mai 2021, où la superbe BB26232 qui brillait de mille feux, était immortalisée dans le coin du Grand Bayanne à Istres, alors qu'elle assurait à pleine puissance, le Train MA90 N°436236 pour les Triages de Miramas avec son gros convoi rempli de tôle, avec son conducteur extrêmement fier de se faire tirer le portrait, comme on peut le voir où il a carrément sorti sa tête pour mon plus grand plaisir avec en prime, un super concerto ainsi que des appels de phares !
