'Sun Suit' was a red and white polka dot halter neck "onesie", which tied behind Sindy's neck and ended in wide shorts.
It was sold with white daisy sandals.

One of Sindy's big conundrums when living in a Sindy bin, is to know what's the weather's like.
Did the first shoot for the boutiques I'm working with this spring/summer! We had a lot of fun! This is for Spud as it's usually her who flouts the fashion rules [well, for her boys anyway!] and mixes stripes and flowers. I wondered how this would look but it's not too bad [IMO!]. The jumpsuit is just fabulous. It's from the Zandra Rhodes collection at M&S and I can't wait to wear it on holiday. It's backless so you have to do something a bit S&M with your boobs to ensure they and the dress stay put. These "things" I have say that you must not wet them to remove them...sounds painful, I might just leave them on for the holiday.
We're off on our hols with wife and family [not spud, the other crumpet] in three sleeps [incl one haircut and wax - fear not Spain, I will be neatly pruned!]. Woo hoo. Two more trips to the gym - one hour will be spent doing sit-ups and the other lunges I need to make that last minute effort just like the revision all-nighter on the eve of the exam. It won't help tone my mummy tummy nor tame my wobbly thighs but I will feel better when we arrive sore from the pain of 400 lunges [at least]. Wife - just so you know. Ha ha.
So, I've packed the children's clothes...Violet has a reasonable but not excessive amount. I know that her and Bo will share anyway. Cyrus has an equitable wardrobe with only one pair of "trunks" compared to Violet's three swimming costumes and one sunsuit [excessive?]. He hasn't packed yet and this unnerves me. Usually I like to have the cases packed by now so that I can go through and edit out the surplus...ie his stuff. It's going to be hot so I am not taking much...well, I think three changes of clothes a day is reasonable and I should think i will take 5 pairs of shoes. Or maybe 6. Then I need straightening irons and crimpers for the girls. Oh the list goes on. And then the camera...or cameras. Do I need a tripod? I have a guerrilla pod and that fancy telescopic thing that came with the Pentax.
I have a few concerns...will all the above polyester [yes, I was appalled too...] cook me alive? or will i cause a fire as I strut my stuff on the dance floor [which dance floor ly? you have 4 children between you]. Will we end up in hospital like last holiday [please please no] and do I have enough memory for the camera? Oh god, and I need a camera bag. And I must not forget to give the sunflower and tomatoes to next door to tend too, and the cat.
I made diapers, a sunsuit and a dress with matching hat for Scarlet's favorite baby doll. Next I am finishing the cake, raspberry yogurt layer cake with lemon icing. I found the recipe on Pinterest. Too bad the weather feels like winter!

I bought the child's play table at a yard sale today for $12.00. It has had some bad repairs but is still fantastic for tea parties. I got the doll several weeks ago on our Florida trip for $10.00. The doll came had both the dress and the sunsuit on. The flatware was Kimmerle's from the 70's, made in Germany...Dishes from yard sales.
This table belonged to Margaret Bell Humphreys, born 3-15-1911...died 3-5-07.
I bought the table from her first cousins once removed. They were so sweet telling me all about Margaret. The following pictures of her I shot at the yard sale through glass. And they GAVE me the picture of Margaret shown with the ornaments.
Provenance is so cool
Although the photographs are printed in varied format, most are stamped "Perry Photos, Big Spring, Texas" on the reverse.
They were found in Norman, Oklahoma.

Fabric is broadcloth and a reproduction 1930's cotton by Windham Fabrics. Pattern is a combination of two vintage sunsuit/pinafore patterns purchased from MJ's Vintage Patterns. Hand embroidery stitched by ME!
Well, who are these folk ? Jim is lookin' cool with the blonde sidekick in the sunsuit, his cool cowboy boots and HEY ! I believe that is MY BUNNY! I am casually shirtless, ah, SO much more comfortable. The baby might be Bill. Our friends ? No idea.

This is my youngest Grandson in his Nemo sunsuit at the beach at Little Douglas. We only had tears when he was taken out of the water.
Note the children were wearing sun hats and full body covering bathing/Sun suits. They had more sence in those days.

NOTE: very very rare doll, I was looking for her since 1998. She's wearing the classical malibu sunsuit but she's a PORTOFINO. Box, wrote only in Italian, included also a sticker and a booklet.
