That song kinda reminds me of the simple joy I get from photography and how I feel incredibly blessed to have seen/experienced the things that I have...It's a helluva life indeed : )
This visit to Volcano of Capelinhos was really windy that day, the sand scraped my face and beat my hands as I took this picture. It plow sand all over this part of Faial island, where the 1957 ocean eruption had spread lava fields towards land, lasting 13 months and leading to the evacuation of two thousand people from the Capelo parish. The force of mother nature creating new land, is unstoppable.
Two creatures walk placidly, and then one of them senses me and rapidly turns around !
It is out of focus. Try to understand, I was shaking... tee hee :))

Driving through the Serra da Estrela mountains, on our way to Loriga for dinner and this sunset was just magnificent, I decided to pull the car over and take a proper photo.
This long, cascading water fall is part of the White River, Pukaskwa National Park. These rapid falls are the final ones before the river hits Lake Superior. To get to this view, you have to go off the White River trail, listen to the sound of the falls and follow the river up stream, hiking along the river boulders from the suspension bridge.
