Franciscan Monks took olives to Central America and moved North through the missions of Mexico. In 1769, the first olive cuttings were planted in California at the San Diego Mission where the olives thrived in California’s climate.

Roaming around the Niles Canyon Railway maintenance facility near Sunol, California, just capturing a few photons.

Doing a roll-by for photos after a several month refurbishment. On the way back to the maintenance yard near Sunol, they announced that there was room for 5 or 6 people in the cab if anybody wanted to. Guess who was the first one there.

During my early evening commute, I saw not one but three rainbows at different locations. This was the first one when I was head down Sunol Grade. It was a beautiful scene to behold.
