The sun sets over BC's Fraser Lake. Glad there were some nice clouds to catch the glow.
More from this pretty evening in comments.
Thanks for your visit! Always appreciated.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Before sunset in the park of New Schleißheim Palace.
Unfortunately the park closes long before sunset.
The New Schleißheim Palace was built 1701-1704 by Enrico Zuccalli for the Elector of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emanuel, who expected to become emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and therefore felt the need for a representative new residence.
Bad luck: Maximilian II Emanuel never became the emperor...

Sun rise along the karst mountains in Guangxi province, China.
We climbed up to this spot in darkness and witnessed the darkness giving way to the light. Beautiful times!!

This serene scene is one of the gardens of Dow Gardens in Midland, Michigan. The bridge was designed by Alden B. Dow, (1904-1983), son of Herbert Dow, the founder of Dow Chemical Company.
Alden Dow was a prominent Michigan architect in the 1930s to the 1960s, in his style of "Michigan Modern".
His "Sun Bridge" was designed in 1979 so that its reflection completes a perfect circle (hence, its name).
The sun worshippers all lined up to enjoy the show. As I told you, there are more tourists in the evening than in the morning. But the Salar is big and you can get away from them.

Can a person have too many sun set and sun rise shots..;) Anyway, I took this same shot about 2 years ago and since I was in Rockport with time on my hands, I decided to take the same shot again. And, it doesn't look much different..:) Except, this time I had a better ND filter so I didn't get any flares. Other wise, it's the same sun and probably the same boats. When I had my boat I kept it at the Marina thinking If I had it sitting in the water, I would use it more. Not so much. Finally sold it.

I try to get a least one emotion associated with each of my photos. Hopefully when viewing this one, some feeling of warmth come to mind.
Really cool image submitted by Patrick Fore of a scene that alot of us take for granted. Just the mere sun shining through the trees, perhaps showing us that there's always light beyond the darkness.
Sunny this day with some showers. A big sea due to an East Coast low pressure system. This area a little more protected but still some surfers enjoying the big waves. One young surfer told me he had been there for four hours. Pambula on the Sapphire Coast NSW.
Beach hopping (for sunset photos) with a friend who has a county beach pass* and saw two sun dogs, one on each side of the sun. However, only one dog was visible at a time.
*Some of the beaches on Long Island are only opened to residents...😔
PS: I wish a sunburst 🔆 would materialize, but even at f/22, it just ain't happening! 😒

A sun dog (or sundog) or mock sun, also called a parhelion (plural parhelia) in meteorology, is an atmospheric optical phenomenon that consists of a bright spot to one or both sides of the Sun. Two sun dogs often flank the Sun within a 22° halo.
The sun dog is a member of the family of halos caused by the refraction of sunlight by ice crystals in the atmosphere. Sun dogs typically appear as a pair of subtly colored patches of light, around 22° to the left and right of the Sun, and at the same altitude above the horizon as the Sun. They can be seen anywhere in the world during any season, but are not always obvious or bright. Sun dogs are best seen and most conspicuous when the Sun is near the horizon.
