Kirkjufellfoss Waterfall and Church Mountain stay over in West Iceland on our road trip round Iceland.
The above photo of Kirkjufell known as the 'Church Mountain' and the beautiful waterfall was taken as Sunset approached. The sun appeared for a few moments between the clouds and the brow of hill from what had been a very cloudy afternoon. The break as the sun appeared briefly helped to create a sunburst shaped what seems to me like an eye - a natural magic moment.
On one of my late afternoon walks ( when weather permited) the sun peeped to me from beyond this old tree!!

This arch is located in the City of Rocks in Idaho. We were very excited to visit this location at this time of day. I knew I wanted the sunburst to top the arch, and I knew that I wanted the warm glow inside the arch to draw the viewer in. I wanted the viewer to know that we were not in Joshua Tree or someplace like that, so I carefully included the local trees because I find they are very specific to this park. So the tree is gracing the middle of the arch to frame the location.

As the Spring thaw commences fragments of river ice are carried by strong currents and deposited along shorelines.
Here translucent ice fragments scatter the light of a fast setting sun and glow like gems.

It was wonderful to visit my daughter and granddaughters in Devon for the first time in Fifteen months. We had great fun riding the Tarka trail to Instow, and looking for crabs at Crow Point. All in all a fantastic emotional weekend. It's back to the adders here as the females are emerging and the males are in their mating splendour. Watermelon in Easter Hay is by Frank zappa, and is one of my favourite guitar tracks. A shaft of light at the end of a dark tunnel.
I was back to my hometown, Kuantan, for Christmas. There are a lot of beautiful beaches around Kuantan and this was taken at a beach 15 minutes drive from my house. I spotted this interesting clouds formation while I was driving. Couldn't resist the 'temptation' and quickly drove to the beach nearby and took this shot :)
I edited this shot using my ThinkPad which I think has a terrible LCD! Let me know how it looks on your screen. Overexposed, underexposed or OK?

So, are we going to say this qualifies as a fence? I think it does because it is possible the rest of the posts and slats fell down! Then again it is probably a decoration to set off the entrance to this lane. Unfortunately the HFF Rulebook does not cover partial fences. So if no one has any objection, I am going to use this for Happy Fence Friday :-)
It's been quite awhile since I've done a sunburst, the Pup and I came across this scene yesterday mornin as we we're headed back to the Jeep to go home. Just kind of liked how it turned out. Hope you all had a great weekend and to my Canadian friends hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.
