HUNGARY 🇭🇺 Badacsony (hill)

It was glamorous as the light broke into the woods and illuminated these tiny yellow wildflowers! I stood there impressed and just admired the magnificent view! 😊

Elbűvölő volt, ahogy a fény betört az erdőbe, és megvilágította ezeket az apró sárga vadvirágokat! Lenyűgözve álltam ott, és csak gyönyörködtem a csodálatos látványban! 😊

Thank you all for having a close look at my gallery, much appreciated!

Colusa National Wildlife Refuge has a wonderful viewing platform right at the beginning of the Auto Tour route. This platform affords the ability to get up close and personal and the lighting and reflections are marvelous. This Northern Pintail was sunbathing and drying his wings before taking off for where the waters are wetter.

Eastern Screech-Owl (Megascops asio naevius) - 20241012-06

Small, stocky owl with large head and no neck. Pointed ear tufts are often raised. Varies in color from gray to bright rufous (reddish-brown). Intricate pattern is perfect for camouflage against tree bark. Yellow eyes. Active at night when they prey on small birds and mammals. More often heard than seen; listen for its descending whinny and longer trill. Roosts and nests in cavities, including nest boxes. Found in a variety of habitats with trees, particularly near water. (eBird)

We've been lucky with owls recently. This Screech-Owl has returned to a favourite day roost and was enjoying the warm sun on a cool autumn day. Surprisingly unbothered by the birders, photographers and others that peered through the branches, he just dozed in the sun.

All animals in Africa bite, but the safari bug is the worst.

We are into 1/3 of October and this beauty still putting out great looking flowers, Bulls eye will always be one I choose every Spring.

Loved the expression and feel of this image. Makes me feel like summer is on the way!

Tiny fresh Eastern-tailed Blue butterfly taking a momentary break to warm its wings.

Common... though seemingly less abundant this year.

Een favoriet plekje aan de haven van Dubrovnik

We love seeing all of the turtles sunbathing in the marsh at the local state park lately. There are a lot of them!

It was really windy at the shore and all the birds like this Purple Sandpiper were all huddled up on the leeward side staying out of the wind. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park NJ.

Male. Blackbird basking in the glow of the sun checking over the garden before coming to the feeders. Really liked how the light was lighting his face and feathers for this image.
