Tiger has discovered us and comes across the road when he see's us coming home. Luckily i live in a reasonably quiet street, but I still worry he may get hit by a car:-(
The owner also has two very friendly dogs and just doesn't give a stuff that they run out on the road or cross back and forth all the time.HONESTLY!!!
FYI - Tiger is a very friendly Tomcat:-)

Tamarama is a beachside suburb, eastern suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Tamarama is 6 kilometres east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Waverley Council.
Tamarama has a small ocean beach about 1 kilometre south of Bondi Beach and a couple of hundred metres north of Bronte Beach. The suburb is mostly residential and the beach and adjacent parklands have been popular places for recreation such as swimming, surfing, sunbaking and picnics for more than a century.
Initially known as Dixon Bay by early European settlers, the name was changed to Tamarama in the 1800s. Tamarama is probably a derivation of the Aboriginal name 'Gamma Gamma' (possibly meaning 'storm'), which appeared on maps of the coastline in the 1860s by the Military or Naval Authority. In the late 1890s a genteel campaign of civil disobedience was undertaken to open up Sydney beaches to daytime bathing. Inspector of schools and writer George Philip was credited with winning the day in Tamarama.
In 1887 Sydney's first coastal amusement park, and one of the earliest in Australia, opened at Tamarama. Named The Bondi Aquarium its greatest attraction was a plunging roller coaster that dived and twisted over the beach. People flocked to the attraction, not only for the rides, but for vaudeville acts and aquarium creatures, including seals and a tiger shark. On the evening of 11 July 1891, fire destroyed the aquarium and pavilion, but it rose from the ashes in September the same year, and continued to entertain Sydney's populace. The last identified concert at the Aquarium was a fund raiser for the Waverley Benevolent Society in July 1906.
Ownership and management changed several times throughout its existence, until the site was finally sold by Mrs Margaret J. Lachaume in 1906 to William Anderson who transformed the amusement park, renaming it Wonderland City. In 1906 Wonderland City opened and replaced the Bondi Aquarium as the latest attraction at Tamarama. Powered by its own steam plant, the amusement park featured an airship suspended over the bay and an elephant named Alice available for rides on the beach. There was also a miniature railway operating on a two-mile track over the cliff tops. Frequent battles with local residents over beach access, charges of animal cruelty and an incident with the airship saw a decline in numbers. After a few years of low crowds and poor revenue Wonderland City closed in 1911. In 1920, the NSW Government bought the area and proclaimed it Tamarama Park. There is still a Wonderland Avenue at Tamarama. The first mayor of Waverley lived in Tamarama.

The Sydney Opera House sits, bathed in sunshine before the blue of Sydney Harbour, on a glorious Sydney afternoon.
This fence is one minute from the main street, and from it, we look down some steep embankment to a little stream.
While Miss Woolly is content to saunter around up on the high ground with me, Pip slips straight under, to race down to the water's edge, eager to persuade any sunbaking water dragons that they'd like a swim, LoL ;)
It's only a little bit of parkland, but being so close to home, we do drop in quite often, as it has a surprising amount of photo opportunities.
Parrots, lizzies, cows, greenery, interesting old farm gate, the girls mooching around, of course ... and the angle of late afternoon light here can be wonderful to play with too.
But this fence ! It really had me stumped.
Been trying to get a nice pic of it for months, to show how high the paddock grasses were caught up in the wire from the last flood.
We had an unseasonal Autumn deluge back in about last April, so you can imagine how much was caught up on it back then.
These are the 2nd & 3rd wires off the ground, about hip high on me.
Which may not mean much until I tell you that we are not down in a small gully here, but out in open country, surrounded by expansive paddocks, which all go under water.
But before that can happen, beyond the fence is a very deep drop of about 30 - 40 feet down to the stream, and the same in width, so that all has to fill up first.
The surge of run off from the nearby mountains was strong enough to take a huge chunk of the emabankment with it this time, and completely wash it away, leaving a black clay cliff face and a few tall gums still standing wonky down at the water's edge, 20 ft from where they originally grew.
I was playing around with more settings, capturing the backlit grasses, so decided to try it out on the fence - one more go, I said - and bingo, finally scored one I liked.
Taken with macro setting, for shooting with a macro converter, but used zoom lens instead.
sooc..
HFF !
In memory of the beautiful Zina who passed away this week.
I was lucky enough to spend a few years living with Zeen and her humans and there's not enough words to say how much I grew to love her, and how I'll always be grateful to her for helping me in some pretty tough times.
Zeeny lived her 12 years to the absolute fullest.
So many adventures, bush walks, beach buntas, road trips, soul gazing, cuddles, laughs, excitingly showing off her latest outfit, scabbings, staffy pre-wash cycling of the dinner plates, after shower leg-licking attempts, yoga bombing, feet sitting on, possum chasing (not catching), posing for gorgeous pictures for her Melbourne human mum and human grandma, unwrappings of presents, fritz biting, head out the car window ear flaps, pats, treats and in the past couple of years- exitedly glamping with her favourite humans.
She definitely broke peoples 'Staffy Stigma', such a gentle and patient soul with everyone. She helped so many humans in her (not long enough) life, having the ability to sense when someone needed her nearby.
Miss you and love you always my friend Zina. Run peacefully up there xx

We are getting a string of beautiful late autumn days with very crisp mornings and beautiful afternoon sun that warms the bones if you can find a spot to soak it in.
I am very self conscious taking strangers photographs but just asking permission can lead to same great inter-actions. But watching the vaping smoke curl away I'm not sure a 1.5m social distance rule quite cuts it.

As I stepped outside onto my patio my heart gave a great heave as I saw this very large Wolf Spider (?) sunbaking on the window panes. I recovered enough to grab the camera and take some photos before flicking it into the bushes! HBBT

The magnificent Glasshouse Rocks down near Narooma on the south east coast of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing like a road trip down the coast, especially if you are doing photography.... there are so many spectacular places to shoot and you could take a few months making your way just to the Victorian border! These might look like a couple of rocks on the horizon but when you get up close they are giant, in fact they stand 60m high. I camped just near this formation and spent time swimming, sunbaking, taking photos and enjoying the local beaches 😎 this location is kind of hidden away off the main road and not every traveller knows about it. You need to walk in through a trail over the headland and through the bush and on a hot summers day it's such a relief to make it to the water :-)
