The SUMMA 112 emergency medical service of the Community of Madrid has 29 Mobile Intensive Care Units (ICUs) strategically deployed throughout the region to optimize response times to medical emergencies, regardless of their location.
The SUMMA 112 Mobile ICUs are specially equipped vehicles designed to provide assistance in any type of emergency, enabling on-the-go medical care and monitoring.
These units are equipped with all the necessary instruments to perform advanced life support techniques. Their equipment includes state-of-the-art technology for emergency response.
They are equipped with a GPS tracking system and a TETRA-Digital communication system for portable equipment, allowing for constant contact with the Coordination Center.
The medical staff of the Mobile ICUs consists of: an Emergency Physician, an Emergency Nurse, and two Emergency Medical Technicians.
They are operational 24 hours a day, every day of the year. (Source: Community of Madrid website).
However, whoever designed the ambulance's paint scheme doesn't seem to have studied color theory very much.
There are characters written in dark blue on a red background, making it difficult to identify.

El SUMMA 112 de la Comunidad de Madrid cuenta con 29 UVI Móviles desplegadas por la geografía de nuestra Comunidad de manera estratégica para optimizar los tiempos de respuesta ante emergencias médicas sea cual sea el lugar donde ocurran.
Las UVI Móviles del SUMMA 112 son vehículos especialmente acondicionados para prestar asistencia ante cualquier tipo de emergencia posibilitando la asistencia y vigilancia sanitaria en ruta.
Estas unidades cuentan con todo el instrumental necesario para realizar técnicas de soporte vital avanzado. Entre su equipamiento destaca la más avanzada tecnología al servicio de la emergencia.
LLevan sistema de geoposicionamiento y un sistema de comunicaciones TETRA-Digital de equipos portátiles, lo que permite estar siempre en contacto con el Centro Coordinador.
La dotación sanitaria de las UVI Móvil es la siguiente: Médico de Emergencias, Enfermera de Emergencias y dos Técnicos en Emergencias Sanitarias.

Sin embargo, quien ha diseñado los colores con que está pintada la ambulancia no parece haber estudiado mucho la "teoría de los colores".
Hay caracteres escritos con color azul oscuro sobre fondo rojo, que hacen difícil su identificación efectiva.
