I don't remember exactly where this was taken. I keep a log of where I start each day, and I started in Sparks Nevada and ended the day in Ontario California. So I'm pretty sure this is off US-395 somewhere near the Nevada-California stateline. Over the years I'm sure I've driven this route more than a dozen times. This was back in July 2012.

La ría de San Martín de la Arena o ría de Suances, también llamada antiguamente ría de Requejada, es un estuario situado en la costa central de Cantabria (España), entre los municipios de Suances y Miengo, siendo la desembocadura de los cursos unidos de los ríosSaja y Besaya. Tiene una superficie de 389 hectáreas y un perímetro de 33,7 kilómetros, con una superficie intermareal del 75%. A lo largo de toda la ría los suelos predominantes son los fangos, seguidos de los arenosos. La boca de la ría la delimitan la Punta del Toro y la Punta de Afuera.

i took this photograph of the laburnham at belsay castle northumberland , some years ago,it was like walking through a tunnel of yellow flower,s.so pretty.happy birthday sue and wishing you a happy cheerful day.many birthday hug,s.the little beagle who happens to be there at the bottom of the page/path, is wesley,a beagle i rehomed and he lived with us for many year,s.although he did not like cuddle,s!only on his terms.
Sue was actually photographing through the fence to beyond.

This was impromptu photo after our pre-determined photos here. I shot for 2 seconds as Sue slowly twirled her rainbow umbrella. She don't quite manage to keep her head still however. 😎

A wild adult white ibis.
Wikipedia - The .American white ibis (Eudocimus albus) is a species of bird in the ibis family, Threskiornithidae. It is found from North Carolina via the Gulf Coast of the United States south through most of the coastal New World tropics. n flight. Males are larger and have longer bills than females.
The breeding range runs along the Gulf and Atlantic Coast, and the coasts of Mexico and Central America. Outside the breeding period, the range extends further inland in North America and also includes the Caribbean. It is also found along the northwestern South American coastline in Colombia and Venezuela. Populations in central Venezuela overlap and interbreed with the scarlet ibis. The two have been classified by some authorities as a single species.
Their diet consists primarily of small aquatic prey, such as insects and small fishes. Crayfish are its preferred food in most regions, but it can adjust its diet according to the habitat and prey abundance. Its main foraging behavior is probing with its beak at the bottom of shallow water to feel for and capture its prey. It does not see the prey.
During the breeding season, the American white ibis gathers in huge colonies near water. Pairs are predominantly monogamous and both parents care for the young, although males tend to engage in extra-pair copulation with other females to increase their reproductive success. Males have also been found to pirate food from unmated females and juveniles during the breeding season.
My best friend, my partner in crime was farewelled today after passing away from cancer. She was the ying to my yang and the most positive person you would ever meet. She was kind, loving and saw the funny side of life in every situation. I dedicate this image to her.
So after the funeral I headed down to Wellington Point which had special meaning to her heart and captured this image in her memory.
She had a sunny disposition so this image reflects that I think - as the sun is going down it still shines so brightly giving off a golden glow and that's what Sue did...everyone she met loved her. Fly high with the angels now my dearest friend. I will miss you every day until we meet again.
