Today I tried my Christmas present, a 10-18mm super wide angle lens.

I am pretty excited.

This is real this colorful, even with this unusual perspective. Handheld, no tripod, no image stabilization, therefore not completely tack sharp.

Then so what, nobody says a picture you like to watch for more than a few seconds needs to be technically perfect. Enjoy the tilted portrait perspective of a station normally displayed in landscape format

For some, riding the subway is a miserable commute, for others it's a wonderful adventure.

Crystal Palace Subway is a beautifully designed and crafted relic of Victorian construction. Hidden under the Crystal Palace Parade it was built to provide access to the Crystal Palace.

The Crystal Palace was a cast iron and plate glass building originally erected in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition of 1851. After the exhibition, it was rebuilt in an enlarged form at the top of Sydenham Hill. It proved a popular attraction and stood from 1854 until its destruction by fire in 1936.

okay, the subway comes back on monday morning, i'll have to wait that long. how good that i have my music with me and a bottle of coke then it won't get boring.

Underground on the L line at Bedford Street in Williamsburg lies a gorgeous group of tile art created by artist Marcel Dzama. You can learn more about it here: hyperallergic.com/675577/this-brooklyn-subway-station-is-...

I only got to photograph is panel but there are several others, which I can't wait to see and share in the coming weeks.

Fast perfekt.

Almost perfect. But there is a trashcan missing on the right side.

the station was designed with great attention to detail - even the number of LED lamps corresponds to the number of stars Schinkel used in the decoration for the Magic Flute.

For the sake of symmetry, another trash can could have been added. Especially since the they were also styled in a special way.

The large LED billboard advertising a "hot diggity subdog" by Subway.

The two skinny arms holding floodlights look like they are having a good stretch after along afternoon nap. The bolts holding the arms to the billboard look like still sleepy beady eyes.
