Constructed: 1890 - 1893
This spectacular building adorning the Parramatta River was built as a convalescent hospital by philanthropist Thomas Walker in the late 19th century and designed by John Sulman in the Queen Anne style. Internally reflecting the influence of Florence Nightingale on 19th century hospital organisation, its grounds are an intact example of older style institutional gardens. The Concord Heritage Society takes tours to the site and can supply details of open days.

The Strickland House site on Sydney Harbour, Vaucluse, is of exceptional historical significance as a remarkably intact 1850s villa with a largely unaltered landscape setting. The site demonstrates an important component of the early settlement patterns in the district, being part of an early land grant (originally made to William Charles Wentworth) that has not been subdivided. The original building Carrara is an exceptional example of an early Victorian Italianate style marine mansion designed for a picturesque setting.

When i do my short trips, of course i bring my pocket pad for sketching but as I like to pack light never my paints. I just put together this small short trip pack. It is a limited palette which I like the challenge of. All the paints are Sennelier or Schmincke. The last two slots are left open as i will grab two colors in harmony w/wherever I happen to be going. The kit is smaller than it looks , easily fitting in jacket pocket.

I looked through the list of fallen officers, and Mr. Price wasn't there, so I guess he must have had a long and safe career with the department.

I'm really proud to inform you that i will be having another exhibition of my work!! yeah!!
this time my work will be displayed on screen with music on this cool underground festival called: "Hondsrock". on the 20th of September 2008.
I am very excited.
This festival will be held in the east part of Holland. So if you are in the neighbourhood;)! stop by!! some really cool live acts, theatre and art over there.
For the Dutch: it is something like Lowlands but smaller....
