Shadow Bodies -- Shadow Emotions

This is an exploration into the dynamics of personal emotions derived from an informal attempt at understanding of the workings of my mind. The past that is known to us and the future that is yet to be known has the capacity to make an individual unavailable or unknown even to themselves. I am attempting to communicate this very open ended subject matter using visual images rather than language because language is at best inadequate here and I am purposely keeping the analytic qualities of language driven communication to a minimum, to do otherwise would narrow the field of possibility that I am offering you in my Work.

I am using different colored figures to represent different emotional states... I am using a simple architectural, structured environment in which rooms, roads, doorways, and walls act as symbolic indicators for these figures to interact in a specific way depending on the emotional state. I am letting the emotional state in each case open rather than naming specifics... the possibilities are entirely open in each image. The figures in my images all represent one individual. Each area represents a different place or time in which the experiences that are possible can take place, each having their own function that adds yet another element to the larger context of this work.
