Acer palmatum 'Garnet' heeft zeer fijne diep ingesneden rode bladeren. Van sommige soorten zijn de bladeren paarsrood en blijven dat de hele zomer. Zij kleuren in de herfst felrood.

The box-edged parterre was created in 1938 by Norah Lindsay and features different plantings in different seasons. Norah Lindsay started as an amateur garden stylist for her rich friends and became a sought-after garden designer.
