Visiting The Past Series.
Another stunning piece of artwork in my opinion again near Brick Lane London. As the previous one it is now gone and replaced by another. On this chilly windy day with not many people around i took around an hour to get this . I wanted someone to interact with the artwork and i was fairly pleased with the result .

The appeal to the public of the games was as bloody entertainment and the fascination which came from contests which were literally a matter of life and death. Hugely popular events were held in massive arenas throughout the Roman Empire and some of them were raised to superstar status.

Entering Notre Dame de Baulieu church in Cucuron, I was quite surprised !
The exterior of the church seemed a bit banal, but I was far from expecting such splendor under this nave with vaults adorned in Romano-Gothic style.
At the back of the church, we discover an extraordinary marble altarpiece of the main altar, surrounded by a series of paintings.
Many statues also adorn the church and its side chapels.

Une nef étonnante
En rentrant dans l'église Notre Dame de Baulieu à Cucuron, j'ai eu une belle surprise.
L'extérieur m'avait paru un peu banal, mais j'étais loin de m'attendre à une pareille splendeur sous cette nef aux voutes ornées de style romano-gothique.
Au fond de l'église, on découvre un retable extraordinaire en marbre du maître-autel, entouré d'une série de tableaux.
De nombreuses statues ornent aussi l'église et ses chapelles latérales.

Location: Khao Yai National Park, Pak Chong, Korat, Nakorn Ratchasima (อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่, ปากช่อง, โคราช, นครราชสีมา)
It’s a long weekend this week so we spent a day in Khao Yai National Park. I met this group of birdwatchers shooting and filming ‘great hornbills’. Khao Yai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the oldest and one of the country’s largest parks which is located only a few hours drive from Bangkok or Pathum Thani. This park is home to some 300 or more migrants and residents species of birds. It is a large open grassland in the centre which offer great opportunities for observing birds that frequent the forest edge.
I had a chance to talk to one of the birdwatchers. He showed me the stunning photos taken from his massive telephoto lens which is common for wildlife birdwatchers. I think birdwatching is important as they provide huge amount of data to conservation researchers. Also, it provides an intimate connection between people and our natural environment which will lead to better protection of our wildlife.

You'll know by now we 'love' our raptors., and spend a lot of time chasing them around.,
Doing all of this we have got to notice the variations in colour and even facial features from one bird to another
Even in the avian world., some birds are just better looking than others & this one could easily get a job as a part-time model!

This light-morph was sitting pretty right after his meal. They really are stunning hawks. I saw a lovely Ferruginous Hawk nearby but he wasn't as obliging for photos :(.
