The first to be built on campus in nearly 40 years, the newest residence hall at Texas A&M University at Kingsville is a 630-bed student housing facility that is comprised of three-and four-story buildings that create several courtyards. Built in the campus’ traditional Mission Style, the building includes two and four-bedroom suites with one or two bathrooms, depending on the design, a living room, and a kitchenette. The living and learning environment has study labs, a large lounge and meeting rooms, wireless internet, a full kitchen for student use, laundry facilities and Resident Advisor (RA) apartments.

Cloyne Court was named after Cloyne, the village in Ireland where George Berkeley was bishop.
Cloyne was built in 1904 for $80,000 by the University Land and Improvement Company, which included several University professors, University benefactresses Phoebe Apperson Hearst and Jane K. Sather, future Regent and businessman/banker James K. Moffit, and John Galen Howard, the architect of the building.

This front yard represents the overall look and upkeep of a student house. Mismatched folding chairs on the porch are an indicator of a college yard. The grill located to the left of the porch also symbolizes a student house. At a family home it is more likely that a grill would be placed on the back porch. Also the knocked out screen located to the left of the porch shows the lack of dedication and care that the residents have for their yard.
The actual upkeep of the lawn itself is common around this area of student rented homes. The yard is mostly composed of dirt with accents of grass. Also there are bricks randomly placed throughout the lawn. It is evident that the tenants of this home care little about the appearance of there yard due to the fact that this home is only temporary.
