Lifeguard chairs had been moved next to Ocean Parkway, as far as possible from the ocean beach at Tobay Beach, in anticipation of the winds, rain, pounding surf, and arctic chill soon to arrive with winter storm Elliott. Tobay Beach, Babylon, New York -- December 23, 2022
A large group of Snow Geese on take off from a field where they were feeding. I don't know how they don't run into each other!

Golden State Warrior Full Moon Over Coit Tower.
Crazy nice conditions today over San Francisco. We finally got a decent sunset burn today, but the treasure ws the moonrise over Coit Tower.
The tower was blue to cheer on the Golden State Warriors in their NBA playoff run!
Think i nailed the shot and timing.
Excerpt from the Toronto Star of August 30, 2009:
As a teenager growing up south of the Junction, Joshua Barndt would wander around and spray graffiti on abandoned walls.
Last month, the 23-year-old returned to the neighbourhood with paint in hand – this time because the city wanted him there.
From July 7 to Aug. 5, Barndt and artist Jamie Bradbury, 27, led a team of five teenaged artists in painting a 122-metre mural along Dupont St. at Dundas St. W. underneath the new West Toronto Railpath for cyclists and pedestrians.
Art Starts, a non-profit organization that promotes local art, last week launched the mural, named after the Toronto Cyclists Union's motto: "Strength in Numbers."
"For me, it's coming back to old roaming ground and doing something that I'm allowed to do," Barndt said. "This is a neighbourhood ... (where) there's not a lot of access to contemporary artwork, so it's important to bring it down into the streets."
The $18,000 project was funded by the city's Graffiti Transportation Investment Program and the Toronto and Ontario Arts Councils.
As the viewer moves westward, the mural's colourful images present a narrative, first depicting the Junction's history, then themes about cycling in the city, followed by environmental issues, and ending at a utopia where nature coexists with city life.
"We've taken a corner that was undesirable," Bradbury said, "and within a matter of a month, it's completely changed the whole feeling of the area."
...I like to move it, move it!

ODC Strength In Numbers
Raspberries are my favourite fruit in berry form. After flowering the berries form and each berry can contain 100-120 seeds. One cup of Raspberries contains only 60 calories. They do not ripen off the vine, so be patient and wait for them to turn nice and red. If they come off easily then chances are they are ready to enjoy.
ODC - Strength In Numbers
The petals stamen and pistil have done their job and now the seeds are developing inside the ovary, the pod of this poppy. When it dries and cracks open, it will broadcast hundreds of the tiny black seeds we see when we eat our lemon-poppy loaf. The profusion of seeds assures the continuation of the species or a tasty treat.
One is nice, two can be perfect, but three is magical.
A triangle has three sides; it is the most powerful geometric building shape in the world.
In University, in our drafting class, we were given a box of drinking straws and told to build a chair that could hold a 40-pound child.
Oy! Some of the fantastical creations that the 144 of us devised. Some made us laugh out loud, while others made us groan.
But only a very few of the chairs held together. Fewer still bore weight. And only a very few could withstand 40 pounds.
My chair was among the ones that held up under the weight. Because I had discovered the power of threes. I had bent the straws, and created triangles.
Ain't nothing stronger than the power of threes.
Especially if you hold Christian beliefs.
Or you want to build a strong team!
Blessings,
