This was one of many stray cats that we met during our time in Zadar. It was happily amusing itself trying to catch the plastic tape attached to the pole.

A lot of cats have been 'adopted' by the restaurants - or perhaps it's the other way round! These seem to thrive with guests, like us, giving them morsels from our meals to eat. Others appear to be doing OK too... We regularly saw a lady on her bicycle, laden with both wet and dry food that she dished out to individual cats every night. I also bought and handed out Dreamies (our cat's absolute favourite treat) to any cat that looked like it needed a little extra!

Stray cat, one of about a dozen which are always hanging outside our ground floor flat. For the short periods we are there we make sure they are all well fed, the neighbours also do their bit when we leave. A couple of them appeared to be pregnant so the next time we visit there may well be lots of little kittens.

The photo is taken with me behind the balcony wall looking straight down, shortly after my wife left food for them.

This is one of the stray cats in my neighbourhood that I have been feeding.It is shy & timid but since I have been feeding it I have been able to get a little closer, at least to photograph.

A stray kitten we met in the small village of Chomrong in the foothills of the Himalaya. This little fellow was hyperactive one minute then asleep the next!

This is one of the local strays that would visit the resort in Cuba. They mostly seemed to be friendly and submissive. It was sad to leave without one of them.
