#macromondays #GamePieces

I decided to share this image for the upcoming #macromondays theme called #GamePieces

Game pieces are physical or digital objects used in board games, tabletop games, and video games to represent players, characters, resources, or other game elements. They come in various shapes, sizes, and materials, depending on the game’s mechanics and theme.

Types of Game Pieces

Player Tokens – Represent individual players on the game board (e.g., Monopoly tokens, Chess pieces).

Meeples – Small, humanoid wooden figures used in Euro-style board games (e.g., Carcassonne).

Dice – Used for randomization, movement, or determining outcomes (e.g., Dungeons & Dragons, Yahtzee).

Cards – Can serve as game pieces when used for actions, characters, or resources (e.g., Magic: The Gathering, Uno).

Tiles – Used to build maps or change the game layout (e.g., Settlers of Catan, Mahjong).

Miniatures – Detailed figurines representing characters or units, often used in strategy and role-playing games (e.g., Warhammer, D&D).

Chips & Tokens – Represent points, money, or resources (e.g., poker chips, victory points in board games).

Board Markers or Pawns – Basic pieces used for movement on a board (e.g., Sorry!, Ludo).

Common Goldeneye (m)

Instead of standing in water and getting her feathers wet, the great egret watched from the boardwalk and spot a big fish for afternoon meal. What a smart bird knowing how to strategize her hunting skill.

Exit Strategy

Taken in Japan march 2019 still working through files that never got processed and this one seemed worth a go.

Taken during my trip there with Rohan Reilly and Stephen Cairns and what a great trip it was it seems so long ago.

Of all the rooms in the palace "The Strategy Chamber' is a cherished favorite of the king. It fulfills his passion for the game of chess & provides a secret command center to plot the cunning destruction of his enemies. His choice of command is always black, befitting a "Black Hearted King."

Ci pensate mai a cosa servono i fiori? Superata la stagione fredda, appena possibile e con l'aumentare dell'ernergia solare, le piante si attivano. In modi estremamente vari creano i fiori, meravigliose trappole visive e odorose per attirare gli insetti e sfruttarli per la propria riproduzione. In cambio, offrono nettare e nutrimento.

Siete fortunat* a poterlo vedere

Well the solution seemed obvious to me. If you got in there (even though you weren’t supposed to) you can find your way out again. But then I’m not a dog…..

A table of chess is a table of strategies. Behind each move you have a set of risks to manage. To play chess is almost like to be in a meeting of project management. By Edgar Barreira
