Am off-line during the stormy weather in the Pacific Northwest.
Thanks for stopping by, will catch up when the power failures etc are over. Fortunately, the weather hasn't been anywhere near as bad for us as predicted :-)

Having started my afternoon walk in the sun, I wasn't expecting this huge storm cloud within half an hour! I managed to take shelter while the lightning and thunder rumbled around for over an hour!
Another season of spring storms for this old barn...will it survive the winds and rain this time around? I’ll keep you posted!
Heavy storm approaching me at Scunthorpe today, passed overhead with lightning, thunder, heavy rain and hail
High in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, storm clouds billow over the mountain tops threatening snow on the regal aspen standing proudly in their leaves of gold.
Severe Tropical Storm "Kammuri" was standing some 60 nautical miles south of Zhuhai. The strong ocean swell caused huge waves to crash against the seawall of the promenade on Lovers Avenue (情侣路).
What's usually a crowded place with couples strolling in the warm evening breeze was now nearly deserted. Just a few daring people were out and got wet.
And this is only a tropical storm - rest assured: when we had a genuine Typhoon it looked different and nobody would be here at all.

When I visited Oban, there was a very strong gale which prevented a journey by ferry to Iona :( However, I spent a wonderful day walking in the storm and the next morning, there was a lovely calm and a rainbow :)
