When I turned around the lake in order to find the best looking point for the sunset, I was quite happy to see these little stone structures.
They would make a perfect foreground.
I thought a long exposure shot would be appropriate to get a zen and calm mood.

En cette belle journée d'octobre, parmi les rochers de la jetée ouest, un artiste s'était amusé à créer des Inukshuk, l'art des pierres en équilibre.
Il est le premier que j'ai remarqué, mais il .était assez mal situé - disons une position pas tout à fait confortable pour photographier!

Rock balancing can be a performance art, a spectacle, or a devotion, depending upon the interpretation by its audience. Essentially, it involves placing some combination of rock or stone in arrangements which require patience and sensitivity to generate, and which appear to be physically impossible while actually being only highly improbable.

[Filósofos estilitas comiendo la luz cruda del ocaso en filetes medio empanados (a gentileza de mi amiga Aurora White)]
Este escultural balance, aparte de ser una obra maestra del artista alemán Paul Volker, ha sido elegido como logo de un sindicato laboral taiwanés para explicitar rotundamente qué bonita es, en realidad, la precariedad a la que están condenados sus afiliados.
Cosa buena, hacer balance en precario. Paul Volker es un artista en la materia y un personaje un tanto kafkiano, un artista del hambre con la paciencia de un Carlos Felipe Mauricio (Carl Philipp Moritz) que solo comía pan y calculaba cuántos días le iba a aguantar el hambre el mendrugo que le quedaba.
Lo curioso es que Paul Volker es un artista del hambre con una Canon de lo más cara que hay en el mercado y fotografía sus performances de piedra cuando el sol declina sobre ellas. Estuvimos tirándoles unas fotos mientras hablábamos de lo divino y lo transhumano a la orilla del lago de Constanza –Bodensee en alemán.
Él me contó que sus balances pétreos iban a ser el decorado de un programa infantil de televisión en España.
Pero yo sé que esto no es sólo así. Está claro que esta escultura es también un artilugio, un artefacto... un delicado mecanismo para pesar luz crepuscular, la cual es mucho más ligera y moldeable que la del mediodía, conteniendo, además, una densidad de partículas extravagantes infinitamente superior a la luz de la mañana.
Yo me di cuenta, diez años más tarde, de que esta escultura era un trampolín solar para saltar sobre la precariedad del tiempo cuando regresé a casa después de haber pasado ese ratito ameno a la vera del Bodensee.
Mi cena está siempre recalentada cuando llego tarde a casa, pero la de aquel día en que hablé con Paul Volker calentaba todo el bloque de vecinos y satisfacía solo con mirarla.
Miré por la ventana y todo el mundo se parecía a Paul, luego vino Paul a mi casa y Paul se parecía a Kafka; tenía cara de escarabajo y todos los escarabajos se parecían a Carl Philipp Moritz. Bajé a la calle para corroborar estas mis extrañas percepciones, y, sí, efectivamente, ya nadie intentaba parecerse a Goethe. Habíamos ganado al fin!!!
Wolfram von Eschenbach y el Arcipreste ya contaban con ello.
