Fuji X-E3 plus Samyang 300/6.3 (fixed), contre-jour. Attempting self-portraiture with this lens (on my Fuji equivalent to 450mm full-frame) is difficult. The mirror reflex construction is also creating a slightly softer image. But the depth of field is small, and that can be an advantage.
Poor Stickman, not so much in peril here but probably wondering what he is going to do at the beach with his family. I guess he can always go ..... swimming?
A stick dog, name Bark, was being walked by his stick owner. They trampled down a very narrow street to a park inhabiting sticks of grass and a large stick tree.
Just beyond the stick tree was a stick; a stick dog's favorite toy. As soon as Bark spotted the stick, he was off like a bolt of stick lightning.
Making his little stick legs go as fast as stick legs can go, Bark ran toward the stick. Upon approaching it, he shut his eyes and bit in.
Suddenly, an unusual occurrence revealed itself. This was not just any stick. It was the leg of an unfamiliar stick man. The stick man cursed. He raged. He through quite a stick man fit.
Bark's owner apologized to the unfamiliar stick man and said, " I am so sorry. My dog does not understand. He's a bit confused, you see, he was just drawn yesterday."
And with this, almost as quickly as it happened, it unhappened. The two stick men and Bark, the stick dog, were erased by their creator, never to be heard of again.
Moral: A stick is not always a stick.
Photography lets us capture and preserve a moment as it passes through our lives....at least that's what appeals to me so much about this magical medium.
I want to thank all of you for sharing a moment or two of your lives with me through your photos and your visits to my photostream.
I sincerely appreciate the gift of those moments.....
Stickman outdid himself this year with his Halloween lawn museum. There is a whole lot more going on here than you can see from this pic. Those pumpkin figures...he made them.
