JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (July 10, 2020) - U.S. Army paratroopers from the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Alaska, jump from an Air Force C-17 Globemaster III over Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska, July 10, 2020, as part of JBER Salutes, a two-day event to show appreciation to service members and nearly 100 Anchorage-area “COVID Heroes†and their guests. The service members and COVID Heroes, nominated for their support to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, toured various areas of the installation, viewed exhibits and static displays of aircraft, and watched demonstrations by Explosive Ordnance Disposal, military working dog teams, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear experts. I tried lighting the interior by firing several pops of red gelled flash through the windows on the hidden side but with minimal effect - there's a hint of red light visible in a couple of the windows but it's fairly subtle. I also added white light to the exterior from camera left and right with an LED torch. I wasn't 100% sure the thing was unoccupied... if there were people inside I reckon I got away without disturbing them ;-)

Taken at the Steampunk Symposium held at the Holiday Inn Eastgate in the Eastgate area of Cincinnati, Ohio.
"Static Guy" provided our introduction to the world of Steampunk several years ago and has been a fixture at all the events we've attended ever since. We always enjoy seeing him and catching up a bit. He made his head dress using a 3D printer.
