Note-Grids are a tool for collecting and connecting objects of thought (in this case, words).
They treat words and other manifestations of thought as objects that can be freely manipulated to create new meaning.
They break meaning up into individual words to facilitate a more fluid, intuitive, and improvisational approach to knowledge production.

This is a statement of strength for me. A message to someone that I will not back down even though they scare me.
Journaling:
I’ve always considered myself a very observant person. I’ve had to be. Self protectant. Its one thing to be observant, and another to be hypersensitive to everything, everyone and every sound around you. Its enough to drive someone simply mad. In three days time, I’ve had enough crazy to want to not walk out my door. I’m tired already. I don’t want to hand over my life to anyone or any fear. I lived that already and I worked **** hard to get to where I was before all this started. I want to move about my life normal. Walk out my door with out worry. Get my mail, Walk in the park, go to my photo shoots alone. Do what I do, normal. Why the hell should I have to change my life? I shouldn’t. And I’m not. So this is my statement of strength. Of me standing up and saying oh hell no! You don’t rule me. You can’t push me around and tell me how to live my life and you sure as hell are not going to scare me into hiding in my home. FEAR DOES NOT RULE ME! Some unknown Does not rule me either. I decide and I’ve decided this stops. So for the person out there that is wishing me harm, Hear me. It is your warning.

This portfolio represents my exploration of light, texture, and perspective. Through these seven images, I aimed to capture both the quiet and the dynamic moments that surround us daily, from natural landscapes to urban environments.
Each photograph was chosen to reflect a balance between observation and emotion. Some images focus on movement and energy, while others emphasize stillness and contemplation. I intended the sequence to create a visual rhythm, inviting the viewer to move through the portfolio with both attention and curiosity.
Photography, for me, is a way to notice the unnoticed—to see beauty in everyday moments, patterns, and contrasts. This collection represents my creative journey, highlighting the ways I interpret the world visually while developing my technical and artistic voice.
This is not an ironic statement... some random, inexplicable place from nowhere.
In Madison, Virginia, is this little enclave, established by the US Government in the 1930s.
In the zeal to put people back to work, to beautify the country, to take advantage of natural resources, to create a recreational money-maker in the far backyard of the Nation's capital, the Skyline Drive was proposed. Enveloping the spine of the Blue Ridge mountains and the surrounding slopes, a National Park arose.
Problem: there were already people living there... since the early 1700s. Entire communities flourished for centuries in the hollows below and throughout the proposed Park. Some left, willingly. Others, whose familial history was as rooted into those hills as the bedrock, were less enthusiastic.
But, In The Name Of Progress, leave, they did... the more fortunate, to little government-created resettlement villages, like here.
For the others, media campaigns were launched, painting them as "unfortunates", "hillbillies", "feeble-minded" and worse. Their fate is an ugly stain on the nation's history.
Still, the homes that they lived in, those that weren't bulldozed in some Grapes Of Wrath scenario, still lie within the Park boundaries. Some reused, most returning to the soil. Forgotten, until stumbled upon by hikers.
But the signs remain.
One of my most awesome pieces ever: my Diversity Necklace!
While creating this AMAZING piece of wearable true art, I closed my eyes and let my inner intuition artistic spirit guide me. The result was this fully functioning expression of artistry, wearable AND also stands up by itself, thus serving as a thought-provoking necklace/art piece, and a movable mixed media sculpture.

A statement tie #bib necklace in antique brass tone, featuring a #long chain #fringe. You can wear the necklace a few different ways - you can braid the #chain #cascade, tie it in a knot or leave it as is - just make sure you don't make a knotty mess you will not be able to detangle later. :) See all photos for a few suggestions.

Sculpture by Jimmy Rix
Sculpture By the Sea 2010, Sydney
This annual show for me is MAKING PICTURE and/or READING SCULPTURE. I will try to achieve both for every artwork shown along the coastline between Bondi and Tamarama. However, I'd always prefer the later, one is of my background as a landscape architect and is my way of seeing the sculpture, how I re-interprate the artist's work and discovering how this site specific work relates to certain elements of the place - natural (sea, sky and cloud, weather, wind, light and shadows, horizon, coastline and rocks, colours, beach and sand), man-made (Bondi urban skyline, park, mounds, pathway, park's planting, houses and suburbs' built form). or even how people interact or react to it.
