The State Theatre originally opened as the Lyric Theater in the early 1900s. After suffering several fires it would later be rebuilt at the State Theatre. It is now home to the Traverse City Film Festival (founded by Michael Moore). Sadly it has been closed since the COVID outbreak last year.

(Thanks in advance for the views, favs and comments! I'm slowly trying to catch up with everyone. 😎 )
Wheeling & Lake Erie train 218 exits the state line tunnel, crossing from West Virginia into Pennsylvania as it heads east toward Rook Yard on a beautiful summer morning.
Markers in the Canyon tell boaters when they cross the Wyoming-Montana State Line on Bighorn Lake. Though still in Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area on either side, fishing and boat regulations are different for each state. One needs the appropriate fishing license depending on which side of the line they fish
The Montana-Wyoming State Line lies along the 45th parallel north, halfway between the north pole and the equator.
Just a few miles from tying down at Bond, a coal empty curves along the Colorado River at State Bridge.
We found real beauty of Fall in the Ferdinand State Forest. It was mid-morning and very quiet. We found a bench near the lake and enjoyed the serenity and seeing two eagles soar over the lake and land in a tree on the opposite side. I did not realize the beauty of this shot until I got home, definitely the shot of the trip.
The Shwe Inn Thein Pagodas (aka Shwe Indein Pagodas) lie on a low ridge some 6 km (3.7 mi.) west-southwest of the Phaung Daw U Pagoda, which is on the western side of Inle Lake near its southern end. We approached the village of Inn Thein (aka Indein) by long-tail boat along the narrow waterway seen here. At Inn Thein we left our boats and made a 0.75 km (0.5 mi.), 100 m (328 ft.) climb along a covered walkway to the pagodas which are 410 km (255 mi.) north of Yangon in Shan State, Myanmar.
The Red House Administration building across Red House Lake on an overcast day at Allegany State Park in Salamanca, New York.
Tonight what I had planned in my head for my shot did not go to plan due to thick fog in the location I wanted to be. I wasn't sure if i was going to get a shot today!
So I took a drive out to a spot I've been to before and stood on a bridge (in freezing temperatures.. as you do) to capture some light trails. I know it's a mediocre shot, but I do like the lorry pulling into the lay-by.
It's also raining stars again 😉

In my opinion, this is the best overlook in America. By this time of the morning, the canyon wall were catching enough sun to reflect in the river below.
A long-term presence in an environment/space makes us adjust to, familiar with and even turn a blind eye to ourselves. Unfortunately, we feel it should be like this.
However, there will be some time, we get shocked suddenly. It seems that there is an invisible force which controls ourselves in a parasitic way. Gradually, the self-awareness is eroded.
Occasionally, we begin to doubt ourselves, having no confidence in ourselves. Thus, we begin to doubt our cognitive.
The work is intended to express such a state.
Every intrusion into their airspace caused a reaction in the Osprey nest. Here you can see the female adult was chirping her warning and all the juveniles were looking to see what was causing the stir.

The SC State House, under construction at the time of the US Civil War, but not completed until well after Sherman’s march through Columbia, SC in February 1865.
This is a shot from a meetup/night tour I recently had at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia.

I thought I would mix it up and post something a little different from what I have been doing the past few weeks. This is an in-camera double exposure - I really love the way the clouds came out.
The State House is in the Greek Revival style. It is approximately 180 feet (55 m) tall. Architect John R. Niernsee. Built in 1855.
Pre sunrise along the Susquehanna River in Maryland. Took the camera vertical for this composition to include a focus on the rocks there in the riverbed.

Clear Lake - Iowa
It is a cool sunny Labor Day weekend at the lake, but on this Sunday some still enjoyed the beach and a swim. Puffy clouds, a slight breeze from the northeast and temps in the low 70's.
It is a very busy day at and on the lake, with kids, parents and poodles. All enjoying the final days of summer!
