Captured in April 2017 and a fine example of the random encounters you can find when shooting street photography. Happy Star Wars Day my Flickr friends! No Jedi mind trick required. :)

This Stormtrooper was stranded on Earth many years ago, and although he has settled in well, and got himself the fastest Earth speeder he could find, he still scans the skies at night in hope of a passing starship. On this night, he came out during an amazing aurora display over the Grampians National Park in Victoria, Australia.

Happy Star Wars day! My take on "May the fourth be with you". If you're not familiar with Star Wars day you can read about it here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Day

Still plenty of Gorse in flower here. Our Covid-19 restrictions are being eased soon so hopefully I'll be able to search the local hills for Dwarf (Western) Gorse (which flowers during late Summer/Autumn) and this will be my year to find out if kissing ever does go out of fashion or if Gorse really does flower every month of the year somewhere in Ireland.

She would skootch down on the feeder then take a run up the tree going from branch to branch where the birds were waiting to get in and get some seeds. They had to be quick. See my Day 124 photo.

I may not always get to thank you for every fave or reply to a comment that you might leave here on my image but, just know each comment is read and very much appreciated.

If you are both a Star Wars and a Calvin & Hobbes fan like me, you should definitely have a look at Brian Kesinger's great works (www.instagram.com/briankesinger/). It was love at first sight for me!

So I decided to recreate one of my favorite cartoons with LEGO. This is the result. Hope you like it, but all credit goes to its author... it's absolutely briliant, imho!

Could be the start of a new series... "The adventures of little Kylo", but first, I have to finish what I started!! ;-)

For me, and each day I discovered many Star Wars fans, the character of Boba Fett was one of the more charismatic and eye-attractive, even though that on the originals Episode V and VI he had only four lines of dialogue, and six-and-a-half minutes of screentime.

But after that, an entire cult was developed after him and and all the Mandalorian creed. Was it the helmet, the armor, I don't know, but a whole fandom was over there, in all generations. The new series, starting with The Mandalorian, and then The Book of Boba Fett, have stated that they are truly appreciated by the Star Wars fans.

In my humble opinion, The Mandalorian has been the most creative and intelligent in the Star Wars universe.

Here's a Stormtrooper I bumped into in Piccadilly Circus a few years ago...Like you do lol.:)

I hope everybody is having a fabulous Star Wars Day....May the 4th be with you ALWAYS...:)

The paths on Endor are rare. In fact, the ones you may find are made by Ewoks, who call them simply a main road or a highway. Rebel troopers are hard to find a route back to their speeder bikers, after they decided to go and explore a terrain a bit. Oh no, i say (what a terrible plan). It’s already an evening on Endor, I may need to give my extra compass to this duo as a fi´gift... after all, I’ve got them captured on the film.

I’ve got some new material from the local forest nearby for my photography set-ups. I didn’t collected this all by myself, as it’s forbidden to do so. I’ve got this from local handy-workers shop, where they sell it in small packs. In case, you’ve wondering, it’s lichen and it’s scale pretty much work with Legos.

Anyway, for me this scene is like it’s made on outdoor, (but it’s not). Nothing can beat the control of the lighting when you leave the sun out of your plan. Maybe with a proper amount of photographic equipment, you could do this all outside with the sun, but that would be a whole new story to try.

Happy Star Wars Day - may the Force be with you.

Put the Sigma 105mm macro on the camera with the Kenko Extension Tubes and went out to see if I could get some rain drop images. The wind was blowing quite hard at times so it was hit and miss.

Single exposure, real reflection, minor Lightroom adjustments, no content adds/deletes/overlays/swaps, no Photoshop. I prefer the time outdoors shooting, and not to spend more than about 5 minutes computer/post-processing time per photo, so as much as possible has to be optimized in-camera!

You can always revisit the file to rework the edit, but you can't re-take the image once you're home. Get it right the first time; the best moments and their conditions will never be repeated again!

All of my workshops this summer will include some night shooting/instruction, so drop by my Web site www.JeffSullivanPhotography.com to see if you can join me to efficiently produce unique work with me in unique settings! Milky Way shots are a dime a dozen these days, you can capture those with sub-optimal technique.

Milky Way reflection shots, without resorting to faking the reflection, take a bit more attention to technique. Will you want to move on to other astrophotography subjects: comets, meteor showers... if so, make sure you sure you choose a workshop leader who pursues a LOT of them! www.flickr.com/photos/jeffreysullivan/albums/721576319588...

May the fourth be with you!

Un, deux, trois. She's plucking feathers one by one, She's a badass. And did I already said one by one?

No one would have believed this if I had not told this to you with this photograph…
