Startup Weekend -- Des Monines 2
March 5th - 7th, 2010
Startup Weekend Des Moines is a community building startup event. Participants get together with local developers, marketers, designers, enthusiasts and start companies in just 54 hours.
The participants that attend a Startup Weekend decide what they want to tackle over the weekend and come out at the end with several developed companies or projects. Attendees are responsible for bringing the same desire and passion to the project and walk out of the room with the task at hand, in a short 54 hours. Sound intense? It is.
This year Spindustry Strategy hosted the event at their offices. Many thanks to Spindustry Strategy for providing space for the weekend and all the hard work by Shane Reiser for organizing the event.
The UK’s Department for International Trade, through its Global Entrepreneur Programme, organised the Startup Games on 23 March 2017 in Singapore. We had over 50 entrepreneurs pitched in front of top mentors and investors for virtual seed fund using our bespoke app. Keynote speakers include Alex Lin (SG Innovate), Chris Wade (Octopus Ventures), Frederic Lardieg (Octopus Ventures), Henry Goodwin (Octopus Ventures), Anne Marie Droste (Entrepreneur First), Jeffrey Tiong (Patsnap), Shobhit Shukla (NEAR), Jamal Hassim (SyQic) and Oswald Yeo (Glints).
We want to thank everyone who had participated in the Startup Games and we look forward to seeing you at our future events!

STARTUP GARAGE
Startup Garage is a student-led initiative to encourage technology-based entrepreneurship.
Based in Tallinn, they are situated in the heart of Estonian startup environment near Skype, Startup Incubator by Tehnopol and Tallinn University of Technology. By bringing together young talent, researchers and experienced entrepreneurs they believe that the lack of entrepreneurial culture, risk-taking and starting new ventures can be changed. Focus on 6 industries (cleantech, mechanics, biotech, power-engineering, ICT, design) and organize regularly 3 types of events: Summer of Startups, TeamUp, Startup Nights
