Glastonbury Tor by October Starlight. The Tor stood there in the solitude of the evening light with only two blokes with cameras and 60 bunny rabbits for company! Have never seen so many wild rabbits in one place.
It is so difficult to express the depth of my gratitude for every one of your undying support, faves, awards, and comments. I hope you all have a great week ahead and find that Starlight in your life.

Και ενώ η σελήνη βυθίζεται στον Μεσσηνιακό κόλπο ,μέσα στο φως των άστρων που λαμπυρίζει και διαλύεται μέσα στα γαλαξιακά κύματα του μπλε νυχτερινού ουρανού που σφύζει από δημιουργία ενέργεια και ζωή, ένα δέντρο ξερό αφηγείται στα άστρα:
Ένας πυρήνας ήταν κάποτε κρυμμένος μέσα μου, μια σπίθα, μια σκέψη, ήμουν ζωή από την αιώνια ζωή. Μοναδική ήταν η μορφή και οι φλέβες του φλοιού μου, των φύλλων μου στα κλαδιά μου, έγινα για να σχηματοποιήσω και να αποκαλύψω την αιωνιότητα στη μικρότερη μου λεπτομέρεια.

Starlight.
While the moon is sinking in the Gulf of Messinia, in the light of the stars that shimmers and dissolves in the galactic waves of the blue night sky that pulsates with the creation of energy and life, a dead tree is narrated to the stars:

This was not the first star tonight. :)
After shooting in Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness the prior evening Wayne and I decided to head over to Shiprock and do some scouting during the day to prep for the evenings shoot.
The route to the back of the formation is a maze of criss crossing dirt roads that really needs to be Tracked with GPS during the day so that you can easily find your way back in during the wee hours of the morning. We found a couple of ideal compositional locations and marked them on the GPS as well.
Later at 1:00am Sandra Herber and Chris Wray joined us and we also met up with Wenjie, Willa and Huibo. We all stood there timing one another's shots so that the light from a camera's display didn't spoil the other's capture, it in essence is synchronized shooting which is necessary when you have several photographers shooting the same scene. This photo was originally intended to be used just for the foreground but after I processed the foreground the sky looked really interesting with the Milky Way laying subtly behind the startrails which are slightly overexposed creating an interesting sense of speed to the scene. No additional lighting was added to this scene. It is lit by starlight and ambient light hence the name Starlight/Starbright

The Glorious Starlight [IMO 9615028/MMSI 373169000] built in 2012 is a handy-sized bulk carrier with a 17,019 gross tonnage capacity. She is Panamanian flagged, but managed out Singapore by PCL Shipping Pte Ltd and hence is part of the Pacific Carriers fleet. Her beneficial owner is World Marine Co Ltd of Japan.
I photographed the Glorious Starlight departing from the No. 4 Kwinana Bulk Berth on January 7, 2015. Her next port of call was reported in the Fremantle Ports Voyager Port Management System as Kwinana, which didn’t quite make sense as she was leaving a berth within the port. Marine Traffic tracking suggests she was heading to the South Australia port at Thevenard.

After wrapping up the fall colors workshop I headed off south down the 395 towards Lone Pine. I checked photopills and found that I would be passing by the Alabama Hills just about the same time that the galactic core would be rising. I decided to take an hour and grab a shot that I've been wanting to try for some time. I was curious to see how well the In-Camera stacking technique would work with only starlight. The most challenging part of this shot was the focus stacking, you need to be able to focus on the hills in the far distance and on the mountain side as well as the stars. I was lucky enough to have a vehicle heading out of Whitney Portal and used that to focus on the mountain range and it was easy enough to focus the foreground but the midground required me to hike out about a 1/4 mile and drop my torch light, go back focus the camera and then head back and retrieve the light then back to the camera to press the shutter. The things we go through some nights but I was alone and could focus on new ideas and concepts.
