Charlie hid behind a wooden planter and watched me watering the plants on my roof terrace. Tofu usually runs a mile whenever water is involved but Charlie finds it super interesting and doesn't even mind getting wet.

This is my first ever attempt using the DoF Tools. The image employs the local environment settings at Everwinter and was cropped post-production; I made no other adjustments nor applied any filters.
This spy troll was in a shootout with his opposite number. only inflicted a hat wound, thankfully.
Foxfield, Colorado
An Arctic fox eyes me off just outside of its den area on Kolyuchin Island in the Russian Arctic. Being the summer months, the fox has a dark coat which then changes to an all white coat during the winter. A true survivor, I watched this one fighting mosquitoes off its face while it was keeping a close eye on me.
This was a one second capture in a two second moment, the thing about Coots, is that whilst they are readily and outwardly available, they love to keep moving, plus the water on the lake was choppy, this one was no exception until finally, it thought it could hang for a second or two in amongst the thick of the bulrushes, unfortunately the shadow of one of the stems went over the eye and I spent a while tinkering with the light in PP but in the end, of the many shots I took this ended up being the best.
The great thing about the Tamron 150-600mm is the ability to get the focal length into and between stems and branches to eke out the subject, when they try to hide.

I knew the Orcas spy hopped but I didn't realize the Humpbacks did this as well. I have to tell you it was like a building was coming out of the water. I pulled my lens in to 120mm to fit it in the frame...definitely the high point of the day! Humpback whales grow to be about 52 feet (16 m) long, weighing 30-50 tons (27-45 tonnes). The females are slightly larger than males, as with all baleen whales. The four-chambered heart of the average humpback whale weighs about 430 pounds (195 kg) - about as much as three average adult human beings.

The place behind the garden shed is Tofu's preferred hideout if he doesn't want to be disturbed while watching everything that's going on not only he his own garden but in the next door neighbour's garden too. He may not have many possibilities to continue his spy activities in the next days because we expect constant rain.
