My 8 yr old granddaughter and I had a hoot doing this. ALOT harder then I thought it would be. Guess Vaseline didn't stick as well as I hoped but still Ok.

My inclination is to choose this one for the Macro Monday posting for the theme of “my closest” for 1/17. Yep, *sprinkles* on chocolate icing!! Very very very close-in because I used a clip-on lens for my phone’s camera. The tick marks behind the sprinkles are *millimeters*, so the one on the far right is 2mm….
There are 8 possibilities of subjects that I’ll post and then I’ll probably dither. My faves for the theme are ** starred:

The macromonday theme for 2/8 is saturated color (vibrant minimalism) and the confections to decorate bakery products sprang to mind. They were shaken into a slightly smaller than 3 inch circular form which was then carefully taken away. .....
there are 2 other possibilities which are more macro, if this doesn’t pass muster.

Sprinkles are a type of bread spread that consists of small grains that are reminiscent of hail. Sprinkles can be sprinkled directly from the package onto a sandwich or other baking, usually after a layer of butter or margarine has been applied first. Only chocolate sprinkles that contain at least 32% cocoa can be called chocolate sprinkles. [1] [2] Sprinkles that contain less cocoa are called cocoa fantasy. This sprinkles therefore contain less cocoa but more sugar than normal chocolate sprinkles, which means that it melts less well but is therefore cheaper. Chocolate sprinkles are among other things available with the taste of milk chocolate, dark chocolate and a mix of dark and white chocolate. Non-chocolate sprinkles are available with anise flavor (anise sprinkle) and fruit flavor (fruit sprinkle)
