My 8 yr old granddaughter and I had a hoot doing this. ALOT harder then I thought it would be. Guess Vaseline didn't stick as well as I hoped but still Ok.

Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sprinkles at Looking Close on Friday.
So here we go, with another food picture and I hope you will like it…
Need I add that all the props magically disappeared and there isn’t one left … As I told you: Fridays are the worst days to start a diet… or according to my Dad to start anything at all…

For Macro Monday's "Single Use" theme.
No these aren't antibodies fighting some covid 19 variant, they are your humble sprinkles, or 100s and 1000s as some call them. Taken with 60mm macro lens + Raynox 250. I'm pretty sure you can only use sprinkles once, usually on a birthday cake I guess. But in my case I like them on vanilla ice cream with chocolate ice magic. Not that I have a sweet tooth or anything ;)

My inclination is to choose this one for the Macro Monday posting for the theme of “my closest” for 1/17. Yep, *sprinkles* on chocolate icing!! Very very very close-in because I used a clip-on lens for my phone’s camera. The tick marks behind the sprinkles are *millimeters*, so the one on the far right is 2mm….
There are 8 possibilities of subjects that I’ll post and then I’ll probably dither. My faves for the theme are ** starred:
**the texture of a ribbon
a rawhide knot
a coin,
a candle,
a ceramic cat
a colorful bow,
**these sprinkles
and
a mystery object
….💙🔍HMM💙

Since I like to bake I usually have lots of sprinkles in my cupboard.

The macromonday theme for 2/8 is saturated color (vibrant minimalism) and the confections to decorate bakery products sprang to mind. They were shaken into a slightly smaller than 3 inch circular form which was then carefully taken away. .....
there are 2 other possibilities which are more macro, if this doesn’t pass muster.
Little spoons filled with melted chocolate and sprinkles on top.
I was wondering how to get the chocolate out of the spoons, well I accidently dropped one and out came the chocolate :)

A lockdown find. Repeat walks led me here, a part of my local woods I've never bother with previously sprinkled with garlic stars.
Dall sheep lamb "Sprinkle" relaxing in snowy habitat @ Como Zoological Park..Falcon Heights, Minnesota.
Made up from a few slices of a small bread roll and some heart shaped sprinkles. Little fairy bread sandwiches. For 'Looking Close on Friday', theme: sprinkles.
