A very tiny Springtail found under leaf litter, I think it's a Lepidocyrtus curvicollis, approximately 1mm long. They have a pretty iridescent light blue colouring
Taken with Canon MP-E 65MM, 2X converter and defused flash at approximately 8X magnification hand held so not totally sharp
I paid another visit to the walled garden at Weston Park this morning. The location has been very rewarding with respect to Sminthurinus springtails. The grass had been cut in the area I usually check, so I ventured into another part. I was not disappointed and found a number of forms including this one.
I'm assuming that it's a form of Sminthurinus aureus but I don't remember seeing one with this pigmentation pattern before. There's always something interesting in the world of the collembola. This individual ~0.8 mm.
[UPDATE: Potentially something interesting; including a possible new species (see Frans' comments below). I do hope I can find some more!]

The first globular springtail I encountered in our Staffordshire garden this morning was another Katianna nr schotti! Once again, I'm attempting to determine gender of these (as requested by Frans Janssens). There is a hint of a sub-anal appendage (SAA) on this one. If so, that would make it a female.

This is a Springtail, which can be found between rotting leaves in every garden. I collected a handful and took dozens of pictures, this one is more or less sharp. I used the Laowa 25mm F2.8 Ultrazoom at 5x magnification. The depth of field is extremely small. I could not use a tripod because these springtails move too much.
very heavy rain today, did manage to time my walk while the sun was shining. Not long after getting home, it poured with rain.
Not a great deal about, saw some more fungi and spotted a couple of Globular Springtails, Dicyrtomina saundersi, cute little bugs about 2.5mm in size

Moulting springtail plus eggs ? X2 on the pond edge. Could not work out what this Sminthurides aquaticus springtail was up to when I took the shot it looked rather odd. When processing the pic I realised it looks as if it's moulting. Whilst studying this I then noticed it seemed to be sitting on a pile of springtail eggs
