The spelling of my last name has not always been "Saffle". That was only in the last 100 years. My great grandmother apparently was the one who changed it from "Saffel" to the current spelling. Mostly because she didn't like her new Mother-in-Law and if she was going to change her last name, so was her Husband! Not sure who changed it from "Saffell" to "Saffel" but I am sure it's in this book. This book was given to me by the Robinson, TX Saffles and will be passed on down to the Columbia, MD Saffles.
