... at the end of an abandoned Illinois farm dirt road

... the farmer must have transplanted all the little sprigs he found invading his crop fields and planted them in a row along the road.

... this row of trees continues for a half mile.

... the farm is gone. nothing but a pile of wood.

... as he peacefully sleeps beneath the snow.

One small sprig of blossom in a vase that looks similar too but is not caithness glass. Taken on the same day as the previous shot and processed over a week later I noticed..

Taken using my Nikon D850 with a manual lens and Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 50mm f/1.8 wide open at 1.8

A small sprig from the bush beside our front door in a miniature hand thrown vase. The variety is 'Eternal Fragrance' and it mainly flowers in the Spring. Our bush is so old it seems a bit erratic about when to flower!

The vase is from the miniature collection by Yuta Segawa (www.sgwlab.com/miniature)

Happy Friday flora 😊

and Bokeh Wednesday too!

UK: How did I do this?

What you see is two sprigs of bindweed.

Background: a bottle of blue detergent (translucent) and behind it a ringflash. You can use different kinds of translucent materials as background.

Be creative ;-)

Wees creatief ;-)

From the garden this afternoon. Many thanks for all the kind comments and faves on my images; they are very much appreciated.

From yesterday's photo adventure in our back yard! Just the tip of a Juniper Sprig, with a lone Berry. The drop refractions really show the abundance of berries in our trees. The Deer love them too!

This is a sprig of a tamarack tree, otherwise known as larch, a conifer that is found throughout Canada. Conifers don't typically lose their needles, but tamaracks are deciduous and lose their needles each fall. Before the needles drop off, they turn from green to gold. As you can see, this sprig is nearing its transition into becoming fully golden. Happy Monday and new week, everyone!

Thank you for stopping by and for leaving me a comment, much appreciated!

Or, if you wanna be exact, leftover sprigs of holly dumped on top of a pot of dormant sweet woodruff, for the birds to eat during the winter. :-)
