Design Challenge entry: 'Two Blue Cats: Dotty by Su_G' in a tea towel mockup (c/o Spoonflower + Roostery). This became my entry as what I wanted to enter looked terrible with a gray filter applied needlessly to the whole of it... So I made my husband choose, and this was it.
I quite like it (it grew on me overnight) but it's a different aesthetic to the previous which was more 'high drama'. (or too... too... too red... as husband said).
Still, you cannot have too many Blue Cats, especially if one is dotty. :-)

At a festival this weekend, I came across the highly prized and oh so dificult to grow, spoonflower. This beautiful bloomer is known for its sparkle and tarnish! They do best in full sun and Art Festivals. No watering required.
I wondered how large graphic Spoonflower design segments would come off with the fill a yard option, so I searched out a few that might complement one another. I am very happy with the saturation of the blacks and the overall impact this tool can produce.
My order from spoonflower arrived yesterday!! Fabric with my own pattern ^___^
It was a test and I think it's really nice, I'm gonna make more patterns! :D

A yard of Linen Cotton Canvas (54 inches wide) includes cutting lines to cut four (4) tea towels. Cut-and-sew: to complete the project: wash, iron, cut, and hem (or zigzag) to give as gifts!

The title refers to recent findings that otters – specifically, smooth-coated otters - learn by watching and copying each other. Scientists performed their usual tricks, creating puzzles baited with food, and the otters watched and copied each other's problem-solving techniques. Young otters were more likely to copy, and solved the puzzles more than six times faster than their parents. The scientists concluded that “smooth-coated otters adopt a 'copy when young' strategy”.
