52 weeks in 2021 ... discovery ...
... my neighbours have bamboo in their garden ... today our driveway was paved again, yesterday I found these long roots at about half a meter depth ... this reminds me of the spine of a dinosaur! ...

Can't say much about this one. As the title says, these are cactus spines. Close up.
Thanks for looking! Isn't God a great artist?

When I was first trying out my new lens the Nikkor VR1, I came across this bridge and now for some reason, I just couldn't seem to get the damn angle on it, however, that said when I came home and look at the picture I was immediately taken by how skeletal the frame work looked. Sort of Bio-mechanical creature.
Hoping everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)
Sun's first glow on one of the two captivating geo forms with Crooked River flowing around it. I've searched to see if it has it's own name, but no luck. So I call it Dragon Spine.
I'm posting frequent images from Smith Rock, as I took many. I'm returning here soon so want to clear out some of the older ones. Can't wait!

Spined soldier bug (member of the stink bug family) sucking the life out of a black swallowtail caterpillar. This event took place on a dill plant that the caterpillar was feasting on.

Agave is one of my favorite plants, and it grows so well in Arizona. Photographed at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Tucson, Arizona.
It was an incredibly beautiful fall day. I went to a park in the hills where I felt safe by the environment which face it is almost a rarity in the city . Never thought I would have multiple spine fractures and live the "disabled life." It may have slowed me down and a few things are no longer attainable physically that I want to do-but I load up my mule (its what I call my walker) which has a seat and a bag attached for even more storage and I shuffle along and spy and take pictures. My camera fits nicely under the seat. I meet some very interesting people most of which are walking dogs and I can tell by the dogs appearance and especially its energy it is a rescue. I break the ice by saying that is a gorgeous dog rescues are the best. They are always surprised and happy to talk about their much loved pet that is enjoying the beautiful scenery as much as their owners.
Gaiser Conservatory at Manito Park, Spokane Washington. If you are ever traveling in the Pacific Northwest and find yourself in Spokane you don't want to miss Manito Park. The conservatory is full of beautiful specimens and the number of Cacti is a sight to behold. HSoS!
