This was taken 10 minutes after the photo in my previous post, Spellbound. The sun dropped behind the ridge and the magical glow of warmth quickly faded, leaving only the fog and the winter chill behind. In the space of those few minutes, the light in the forest and the trail had also turned noticeably dimmer. Well aware of how quickly darkness can fall in the woods, I reluctantly departed my enchanted forest and hastened my return to the parking lot.
