The flash

Following the death of Barry Allen the gem cities have been unprotected.
Not anymore.
Using his old kid flash costume as a base and adding some remains of the previous flash's costume in honor of him Wally West steps up to become the new flash.
However he doesn't seen to be the only speedster putting on a new costume...

About the series:
I know the texts are not that much to read but my idea is to keep on writing these very short storyparts for each new varkverse post. However if you do not like the story I will still have new figures and hopefully cool photos for you to enjoy in this series.

About the figure:
The mask, lightningbolts and hair are all 100% sculpted and painted by me. The mask is supposed to look like the lego batman 2 mask with the top cut off. Except it is roumded on the buttom since it connects around the neck istead of on the stud. The hair however is connected on the stud so they are two sepperate pieces.
I made the eyes yellow so they would look full with speedforce. I will have another face for him as wally west were he does not hace yellow eyes.
Other notes:
Still working on reverse flash and also working on another figure for the larkverse.
Marina Coastal Expressway, Singapore
Yesterday's sunset fizzled out from behind the thick clouds, but the blue hour cloud movement was worth the wait. For some reason, this spot has gotten really popular and there were no less than ten photographers vying for a spot! Unfortunately, living in a Garden City means that the flyover from which this was shot from has to be planted with lots of shrubs and bushes, so the best spot (being a tiny clearing among the bushes) can only tightly fit four photographers at one sitting. Luckily, we got there in time to secure a spot!
2-frame blend (one frame for sky, and one for light trails, quite lucky to have gotten strong light trails on both sides in one frame!), with Haida 3-stop Nanopro ND filter for a longer exposure.

Hello people on flickr. Sorry I haven't been posting for the past week. My college laptop died on me and it had all of the pictures I have stocked up so I couldn't post until I got a new one and recovered all of my files. And now that's done! So, I'll be back posting photos! Whooooooo
Also in other news, with everything going on with flickr, I'm thinking about making an instagram account. I'd be posting the same content on flickr but most likely more WIP pictures and such. What do you guys think?
Alter Ego: Old Timer
Name: Paul Stancil
Allegiance: Villain
Powers:
* Can absorb the youth of other people making himself younger although this is only temporary.
* He can make people age rapidly as he's doing this but they recover after an hour or so.
Weapons: None
Key Weakness: He must touch exposed skin so if his victim is covered up then he won't be able to use his powers on them and will remain and old man.
Origin:
Paul is a 86 year old meta who can take the appearance of a 18 year old by using his abilities, he hates being old and always seeks out victims to make himself young again. His victims suffer for about an hour as an elder then return back to their original state as well as Paul, he used his powers on The Flash making him extremely old and even slowimg down the Speedforce but he recovered after a while and then defeated the meta geezer.

Iris West notices another Scarlet Speedster running around Central City. But why does she feel such a strong sense of familiarity whenever he rushes by?
Updated my Wally West figure once again! And this time he has a custom made cowl and hair piece!!! The Decals I've been placing on his head, kept on pealing off so I decided to make a physical cowl piece from the Lego Flash cowl piece. And I only ended up wrecking on spiky hair piece making the pair too! What do you guys think? It's not perfect so I might make a better ver sometime in the future, but I'm pretty satisfied on how it turned out!

OH MY GOD! ...THEY DID... OH WOW... AND THE... MY GOODNESS...!
Did this really just happen?! That was incredible! I have so many feelings right now!
So my first thoughts about all of this are centered around that final 15 minutes. Time Machines and Wormholes and Weddings and Helmets! (Oh man I literally yelped when Jay's Helmet came on screen) Plus Tom Cavanagh's performance is incredible! I hope the new Eobard will be able to set that bar for me.
But like, the whole Speedforce scene with the clips of things like the Flash statue, Killer Frost, Legends of Tomorrow stuff; Dude this show is not messing around! The Flash has so much history and works so well for TV and I'm so incredibly happy it's going in the 'dorky-comic' direction as opposed to Arrow's current "realistic" thing they've got going on.
And let's talk about Onlinesailin's fig! With John's design and The CW's black leather look... I stare at this fig and all I can think of is Zoom going through his punk-rocker phase :P
Anyway, what did you guys think of that finale? Or even the whole season? I'm just blown away at what we've been given in this show! :)

Not too much to say about this one, just wanted to update my banner since my last banner is over a year old now :P
I've gotten a bunch of feedback over my use of lightning effects in my Flashpoint Images so I've tried my hand at them again. I seem to be improving but I'm trying my best to move away from these partially pasted, partially drawn effects, and go to fully drawn type stuff; I'm working with some other sets right now and trying some other methods that look acceptable to my artistic psyche, so you guys may just see those too at some point :)

Despite my well known disappointment with the New 52, I hope that we can all agree that Francis Manapul's artwork on The Flash (N52) was incredible! His redesigns of Golden Glider, The Rouges, and Mr Grodd were some really solid stuff! Most specifically what comes to mind though was his paneling and use of integrating text into the artwork itself and no one does it better than Francis!
Kat's MF design (with Christo's printing) is no exception to those feelings! I realized when I picked up this figure back in late July of last year, that I never took any solo photos of Daniel West! So here's me fixing that! :)
Daniel West is an interesting Speedster, and he worked pretty well in the N52's Flash Family dynamic at the time! (...Still not sure how I feel about Iris as a Speedster though...) He's also rather enjoyable in his brief run in The N52 Suicide Squad as well. I hope he's still kickin it in the Speedforce somewhere and we'll see him again one day.
But yeah... with Christo recently sending out his Yellow Suicide Squad variant's of Danny boy, I figured it was as good a time as any to share some solo shots of him :)
And no, I'm a little tight on cash right now, so sadly I missed out on the SS Yellow variant... buuuuuuut if you want to support me on Patreon perhaps I won't miss out on one of Christo's next releases ;)

The chanting began once more, cutting deep into Barry's mind! groddgroddgroddgrodd The pain was so intense that it hurt to move but he had to fight it! The Flash can't end here! He won't! groddgroddgroddgrodd struggling to breath under the vice grip of a gorilla The Flash began to strike! Over and over and over and over as fast as his body could move! groddgroddgroddgrodd He could feel the grip loosening and his power to the Speedforce begin to grow stronger, when suddenly...!
KRA-KOOM!
And as if all of a sudden, The Flash threw a punch so hard that the heat and speed alone would have decimated a building! Grodd's jaw swung loose and ajar before losing his balance and toppling to the floor! Barry had to catch his breath for a moment. That had to have been the longest 60 Seconds of his life!

With Part 4, it ends Grodd's reign! Tomorrow we see our hero victorious!
AKA Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash is the Flash's archnemesis. With similar abilities, but more experience, Thawne has been fighting the Flash for a lifetime.
Part of The Villains We Fear, my BFVA 2018 individual project.
Reverse Flash here looks awesome next to my Flash figure from last year. Their bases are exactly the same height, with similar designs, while Reverse Flash's base is meant to be slightly more futuristic.
I'm proud of how this figure turned out, as I was able to make him less bulky compared to my Flash figure, adding to the athletic look of the characters.

My attempt at the new 52 character. One of the last rogues I haven't made yet. Only have to make blacksmith, magenta, doctor alchemy, and murmur now I believe.

Took a 8 sec. exposure of a Bus passing by. Micro stutter blur in the lights because the bridge was vibrating while the bus passed. I like the yellow stripe which could be the flash logo haha...
