I got this old Readers Digest book from the Op-shop for the grandchildren to look at. I realise these days they mostly use the Internet to do research but there are lots of great pictures in it which will hopefully pique their interest and send them off to find out more.

ooooh...magnified eyes!

Why is it....since I turned 60...my eyesight has deteriorated so rapidly? a tear in the retina, thankfully repaired...still got the 'floaters' but they're not really a problem, my recent eye test showed early signs of Cataracts, patches of 'dry eye', gee, thanks....eyelids reluctant to open in the morning, what the hell is going on!!!!

I was fine at 59!

Time to choose my new frames as I have two new prescriptions.

I had an almost unworn pair which I would have liked re-glazed but it cost more to do that than buy a new identical pair....WHY?

A quiet collection of men captured through glass — from everyday spectacles to dark-tinted shades. Whether for vision, fashion, or simply habit, these frames add a certain something. Observed rather than posed, considered rather than curated — just a passing glance, adjusted.

I was about to load the photos I'd taken today onto my computer when I realised I hadn't taken one of me - my daily selfie. I always wear glasses to look at the computer as the screen is too far away for me to see it clearly with my right eye and a little too close to see it easily with my left eye.

So to take my photo with my iPhone I pushed my glasses up to see the screen on the 'phone.😀

OK , so I've been to opticians 3 days ago as I started to see black dots in my left eye , and I realize how bad is my sight when she ( optometrist ) was putting all those lenses on my eyes.

You can get a new lens but not new eyes.
