I have much more dramatic images from the Palouse this year, but as you probably know me, I am quite fond of the softer, quieter and subtler moments that play out, and such is the case with this image.

I may not be much of one for getting up for sunrise, but once I am past that painful, awkward first two minutes, I really do enjoy being out as the day begins. In this case, there was a small group of us up on Steptoe Butte marveling at the texture in the sky and the soft light on the land. We started out at the top of the butte but stopped about halfway down at this pull-out and I promptly got my only pair of shoes soaking wet wading through the dew-heavy grass because I could see this tree from the road and I knew I needed a photo of it. And this is how that small group of us, tree included, began our Sunday morning.

More mornings should start like this.

So here is our gacha item for the December round of The Arcade - The Ribald Butler!

Be prepared to have e big laugh with this one :D

He's scripted to show up when you're near him and say different things, related to the held objects.

Of course, there is an option for the butler to stay visible and silent if you want it this way.

You get to see folks from many countries, and often you will find people speaking languages beyond your capacity.

But there's a sense of connection through religion when you are in the holy city of Mekkah, and that definnitely helped me here.

I hope I am not the only one who is happy that summer is coming to an end. This summer was exceptionally HOT where I live. I am not a fan of the heat. I also think I can speak for just about anyone when I say, we are close to another season and year ending. I am super excited for autumn and all that is autumn in Second Life. It is not only my favorite season in RL but here also. Sweaters and jeans, boots and leggings and all the autumn colors that come with it.

This land was a piece i have been working on for the last week or so. I decorate when I need to just let go of RL and the things that are bothering me.

I went to the L2 Studio sim for a bit of inspiration when I wanted to compliment Miss Lindini Lane on her choices of Decor. Simply adore her shabby chic style. I happened to come upon this build; The Writers Shed. I have been to this sim many times and I had never seen it. So happy I had because it was so lovely to decorate. Not only that, Miss Lane was so gracious, she offered it to me as a gift ♥ So thank you again for your generous gift!

You might be able to tell, the inside is packed full of amazing decor. While this home is small, it is fabulous to decorate for any person who loves decor as much as me.

There are a few items I would like to spotlight. TBF- The Black Forest is in this round of Cosmopolitan with an amazing set. I especially like the Kerosene Lamp, it comes with different options as well as being able to carry it with a bento pose. Check out this item and the others he has just inside the entrance this round starting Monday September the 7th.

There also may be a few items listed that you can't see. This is because a lot of them might be in the garden shed or just inside the home. I will try to sift them out before I post, just know I did the best I can ♥

Québec, Québec - Août 2014.

Although we have gone out on a few occasions with cameras in hand, I have to admit to lacking inspiration. Perhaps it has something to do with the unusually mild winter, where rain seems to be more predominant than snow. Here, we made the effort to see what we could find just after one of the few snowstorm swept the area. I clicked the shutter just as dawn was creeping in through that heavy cloud laden sky. There was no color to speak of and a simple B&W conversion just didn't' speak to me. Adding a toned look with strong contrast made it more interesting and perhaps qualifies it for Sliders Sunday. Happy Sliders Sunday!

It's amazing how adding a new tool to our kit can spark a new creative life. I decide to take an adventure down the path of Lensbaby and what fun is becoming.
