We spent a couple of days before Norway trip in my favorite city I used to live. Saint-Petersburg is always nice, especially in may and september, I guess....
I had a possibility to use EF50 1.4 lens and made some experiment shots. And I should say it's a lovely stuff!
Thank you for all your comments and favs.
The naval Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (St. Nicholas naval Cathedral) is the last one built, the largest of the naval cathedrals of the Russian Empire. It was erected in 1903-1913 in the neo-Byzantine style in Kronstadt under the project of V. Kosyakov.
As he wrote in 1910, Kosyakov himself: "since 1902 in Kronstadt made the construction Of the naval Cathedral-a monument to the ranks of the fleet, who died in the line of duty... the Temple is built on the highest approved project and during the course of construction is the subject of special attention of their Imperial Majesties."
