Space Invader....... exterminate exterminate...... King John Court

UPDATE: 13/06/07 - King John Court has been demolished, taking along with this beauty by Space Invader to make way for the crossrail. Profit always wins over art!

OK, I've decided to call my new game "Razr Froggr", though I admit it's a bit of a hybrid b/w Frogger and Space Invaders.

Here's the premise.

From the window of a moving bus (or car, though a bus has a nicer vantage point), shoot images of moving vehicles, while trying to earn points for the following attributes:

1. The photo is well framed (the line down the middle of the road should be precisely down the middle of the image.)

2. A moving vehicle is captured in the image. One point for a portion of a car moving alongside you, two points for the entire car moving alongside. Three points for a car moving in the opposite direction, and five points if you catch the entire vehicle in the frame moving in the opposite direction (bumper to bumper).

3. The photo should exhibit the effects of a 'focal plane shutter'. In other words, the cars should be in italics. Regretfully, this may only work on older cell phones, so I'm afraid this game will quickly become retro...

ps: This game is also an ode to Henri Lartigue's famous focal plane shutter distortion of a race car.

This is a physical model of a clothing label for a company i created called "Fear of the Unknown" inspired by the street artis Invader. The main label is clear acrylic on card with the engraved logo and a purple acrylic symbol. the secondary pieces on the thread are smaller coloured acrylic pieces on either side of a pice of card.
