When we started dating, Mr. Martini introduced me to the joy of Godzilla movies. And while I know he's a villain, I always had a soft spot for Gigan. Mr. M got me a plush Gigan for Christmas a few years ago, and I still think it's one of the best presents I ever got.
Go, Gigan!
I'm having a giant stash sale over on my Ravelry stash page. This is just a sample of what's available! Lots of goodies, including a lot of sock yarn perfect for Ishbel (hint hint)!
All yarn from smoke-free home and kept in Ziploc bags (except for photoshoots). If you're not on Ravelry, but are interested, feel free to Flickr Message me for details!
I started this February Lady Sweater in September (2008!), finished knitting it in December 2009, put the buttons on it in January 2010, and wore it for the first time in... February 2010!
I can't believe it took me so long to finish this. I love love love it. I didn't think it would fit or be nearly as comfy and flattering as it is. One of my favorite knits, ever.
WIll be blogged soon!
Day 100!
When I started this project 100 days ago, I thought I'd be content with my little point & shoot, and for the most part, I am. But today, my awesome co-worker B. let me play with her DSLR, and it was AMAZING. I am completely hooked, and am now determined to save up for one. (Stay tuned for the inevitable stash sale announcement.)
I took a few photos on a quick walk, both with my p&s and with the DSLR, and the difference is amazing, even in dummy mode. The set is here for side by side, straight out of camera comparisons: www.flickr.com/photos/spacecase/sets/72157620565064442/
Because of all the snow and rain they've been getting up north, we're having flood warnings along the Ohio River. I sat on these benches when I took this photo last week.
