today it is a vibrant city, tyrolian-italian, belongs to Italy since WWI : provincia di Alto Adige, Provinz Südtirol, one of the first Euregios: Tirol- Alto Adige - Trentino. thanks to European Union the tensions between Italy and Austria, between Italians and Tyroleans nearly vanished since the 1960s/1970s; today there is no border control between the two countries.

Located inmidst the alps, the 3000 meter mountains nearby, although a mild and nearly mediterranean climate.

just some kilometres from Meran is Tirol, or Tirol village with its castle, the origin of the Tyrol region.

The really good Thai Spa's take such trouble to create a heavenly atmosphere. And with such style, intricacy and creativity too.

These sorts of decorative arrangements could be found every 10 meters in a one acre size spa ....

If I make it to Heaven and it looks anything like the spa I visited in Koh Samui, Thailand, that will do for me!
